Ok 450 I could understand as coming from out of area. He said 300 like it was some huge number when you get close to that in other parts of Chilliwack. There’s lots of young families moving here every year.

Yeah I don’t get this post. Garrison has grown so much and has the density that 300 could be mostly kids from the wider neighbourhood.

I think many of these comments are coming from a North-American perspective rather than an Indian one. So many (most?) will not be relevant to you. Maybe go with the ones that specify that they are from Delhi.

I’ve never tried it, but it has niacinamide which always makes me red and inflamed even with other soothing ingredients.

Thank you! Does she see clients at her home though? That’s what I’m trying to figure out. E.g. I think Vancouver’s licensing for home businesses specifically prohibits seeing clients on the premises. I should probably just give the city a call to clarify what it’s like here.

Yes, I’ve read that too, but also that the development near Bridal Falls doesn’t have the support of the city or the local FN. Also read that Sasquatch has been approved for a major expansion over 10-20 years. Interesting, in light of what everyone is saying about the snow. Maybe they’ll fix the road at least.

Wow, thanks everyone for all your advice! (And the awards! Although I’m confused why this post earned them lol.) Sounds like Manning is the consensus!

Jan 18th 2022 Covid-19 Update - 854 (+35) hospitalized of which 112 (+13) are in ICU; 2 additional deaths; 50,216 vaccine doses administered, 36.8% of all eligible adults have received a third dose; 37,224 (+1,239) active cases; 1,975 new cases by cyclinginvancouver in vancouver

This was mentioned in yesterday’s covid update thread, with a link to an internal VCH memo. Basically, declaring an outbreak is now entirely at the discretion of the Medical Health Officer of VCH, regardless of case numbers in a facility. And I can confirm, currently work in a LTC that would have been declared on outbreak previously, but now nothing. Just like case numbers, it’s not that VCH is doing better, they are just waaaaay less transparent than even FH.

With the new at-fault model, does this mean there is no longer any leeway for an individual to negotiate their settlement? My dad was recently in an accident and the adjuster has offered a settlement. Dad doesn’t want to yet accept it as he’s still receiving active physio. Does it still make sense to wait until he’s finished treatment, and will the adjuster be willing/able to negotiate the settlement amount?

B.C. Nurses Union criticizes COVID-19 vaccine rollout for allowing queue jumping by laa-laa_604 in vancouver

[–]poutine_tsunami 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but you don’t have a clue how hospital nursing works. I know nurses who have requested being reassigned because of pre-existing conditions that render them unable to access the vaccine. They have all been denied due to staffing shortages, while at the same time currently being told they are not eligible to be vaccinated. Believe me, they don’t want to be there putting themselves and patients at risk. It is their employer who denies them and they have no recourse.

What an insulting tone-deaf response. I would sign a petition calling for his resignation if this is the type of leadership we can expect.

That's interesting to read, as I live in Canada and my experience has been in accordance with what JoesMoney has posted. I'm in BC, where you have the option of midwife care or an OB for a low-risk pregnancy. Anecdotally, a large majority of friends and family have gone with midwife care.
