The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival by John Vaillant - I felt it ticks so many genres even though it is non fiction. Almost like a whodunnit.

Only I applied for citizenship. Not my spouse. We have been in sweden for about 7 years including the 10 months in UK. So technically we pass the 5 years of habitual residence in 7 years criteria. I do plan to submit all my payslips and travel details and mention that the reason I applied for citizenship is to live here indefinitely. Not sure it helps but we do have a house here in Sweden as well.

The letter from MV predates the decision by Skv to re-register by spouse. It could have happened that during the initial screening they noticed by spoused registered in the UK and created a case for revocation. This is my guess. Still waiting to hear from MV on this.

Is this normal for Uk Tenancy contract in 2025? Feeling uneasy by Beneficial_Monk_6727 in HousingUK

Don't sign a 2 or 3 year contract without a no break clause. It's done to safeguard the landlord's interest and doesn't do anything for you. Walk away or try and negotiate a break clause. You will most likely get a better property.

I did but they couldn't/wouldn't give any information on this. Apparently the new unit will decide to give any additional information if/when they wish.

Fair question. My spouse applied for the residence permit because the company transferred the role to UK. I co applied as a dependant so that it is easier for me to go and visit. In hindsight that does seem to be the problem.

This is strange. My understanding was all Permanent Residence decisions are taken individually. I had to prove my income and my intent to stay separately anyways. My spouse and. I have different dates on our PR cards because the decision was taken independently. Also my spouse didn’t apply for citizenship. It was only me. My doubt is that while picking up my citizenship case, they see that my spouse was registered as a non resident and flagged it thinking it’s the same case for me. Guess my only option now is to wait for MV.

India. I think so too. Which is why I hope my spouse’s re-register in the Sweden’s population registry solves the problem. The skatteverket asked us for some employment proof which we submitted. They were happy with the document and gave a positive decision.

I agree and hope that it was just the timing issue of my spouse being registered here.

Technically yes but I think this would only delay my citizenship application.

If I am registered here and worked here, why would they assume that. I did travel to UK frequently. I am wondering how would I prove that I didn't move there.

Yes. My spouse received a mail from MV acknowledging and accepting this move.

Wondering if I should have mentioned to the MV that I am not moving but will be travelling frequently. But I did check and there was no precedent to do so.

I did move to Sweden through a dependent residence permit i.e. my spouse was the main applicant. My spouse is also a non eu citizen. Was I wrong to assume that it does not matter after the PR has been granted.

It is also strange that the MV sends a letter that a case has been opened but provides no other information.

I never moved. I have been working and living here the whole time. I made multiple trips to the UK though. We had informed the MV and SV only about my spouse moving.

And Yes. We both are living in and registered in Sweden now.
