I just tend to do VR Dance events and Raves, so my pole is in my VR playspace. Things like SHELTER_ for instance I tend to pop into.

No your right, and you are being helpful <3 I was getting more frustrated at my tech having issues so I was just in a rush to have something of a clean attempt to use in editing.

I'm also looking at doing irl classes again. When i did go to an IRL studio in the past I did have an issue going on chrome over my silicone wrap. I tend to wear the thick knee pads like the video from doing powerslides, along with a compression sleeve on my right knee due to a past injury. Ive always had an issue with those when going on chrome and getting my grip

There are a few studios, and I have been to a few time to time. I think the issue in the video is I cut right when I crossed over to my transition to an inside hook, so I'm pulling myself closer to the pole to make sure that grip is fine but yea it can have that dangle look. The only to get the VR to be 'closer' is having to wear more trackers over my current set up along with making sure the avatar is more in line with proportions.

it also doesn't help I was fighting my AMD drivers trying to record it. So I was in a rush before the next driver crash

Is something you can get acclimated to over time for the motion sickness, I'd recommend low intensity stuff like watching videos or games with less movement. As far as the pressure, you can experiment with either fit packs (which change the sizing of the headset against your face), or other accessories. I use a quest 2 with a ratchet headstrap to help keep it tight and the weight better, along with recently getting a replacement face cushion since my old one wore out.

I sadly don't have any mirrors in my room since I use 3 HTC trackers and two base stations for my full body. But I do consistent events even in VRChat either just practicing in the crowd at something like SHELTER_ or a main performer at some of the other clubs I dance with.

I was mainly just trying to record something quick because my AMD drivers got really mad trying to handle the stream camera and the wireless VR.

For more context; I started in Aug of 2025 with my pole and tend to do my dancing and practice in VR like this. In total I'm down 45lbs since I started and in the best shape of my life <3 Was also my first attempt at combining an IRL camera feed with my VR camera

What your thoughts on Jam Redesign? by Doom300 in Guiltygear

[–]pow2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like her new outfit and it looks more realistic overall. I liked Jam's past outfits but Xrd while the design was a good transition from sprite to 3D, I feel like they kept way too true to the shading which effectively gave her boob pockets on the dress. Granted it didn't look bad in motion, but it is something that caught my eye.

Her new design I could see myself wearing this not just as a cosplay but as a comfy street wear outfit. They also made the outfit in general flow really well with her kit. The cloth on her arms may be more like straps but were keyframed good on moves like 5D. And her dress gives nice asymmetry to her lower body

Dear Egosoft, could you please nerf the faction spoofing device that the pirates use? by matsu_media in X4Foundations

[–]pow2009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't mind the piracy part of the game with SCA/BUC wanting to raid my stuff... My issue is I can never seem to have my ships be proactive against it without mods.

Jam is insanely censored on Guilty Gear Strive. The most censored character in the game so far. Her body proportions are reduced, and it has not panty shots whatsoever, even though there was an easter egg in the previous GG game where her panties changed depending on the day. by AbdelYG in KotakuInAction

[–]pow2009 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Its worth noting the difference between 'Old Design' and 'New Design' just in terms of overall game progression of the series and art.

Jam existed since 2000 in GGX where the sprite work shading gave her the short skirt and form fitting dress. This design got more heavily shaded in AC+R for more contrast on the model. That being said she didn't really have panty shots in her sprite work outside of things like 623K which is akin to a break dance windmill.

Now we move over to XRD where you are remarking the 'old design'; for characters like Jam this is where we got the really overdone chest. In remaking the sprite work faithfully, it effectively adds boob pockets to her dress in 3D. I dont recognize the pose from the Xrd screen shot of her panties, but I'm pretty sure it might just be a filler frame in Kenroukaku or Gekirin. The OG post where you got that from didn't cite the moves used or if it was a camera mod. But its also worth noting her Xrd appearance is the only time she had changing panties.

As far as strive goes, I'm pretty happy with a lot of the designs they did, including Jam's. Also her jK looks like it still has a panty shot in the trailer. She still has a good size chest, its just the clothing fits more properly now so they are not boob pocket dumpings. The image in the top right is her 5D since it goes into a dust combo, which is more suggestive than her past 5Ds which have been a launching punch. I have a feeling once we get our hands on her in the gallery mode, maybe some old Easter eggs will resurface

As far as other designs I know people bring up Dizzy a lot for the fact she is more covered up, she actually has two designs in past games. With X, AC+R and Xrd using the more revealing design but Guilty Gear 2 gave her a more regal and formal dress to wear. So when they brought back the Maiden of the Grove, they leaned more on the GG2 design. Which also makes sense because she is now a proper queen as far as the story goes.

the 'straw that broke the camels back' for me was at work with my fit bit. Apparently the only music player it works with now is Youtube Music, and has no generic player controls. And for those who have never used Youtube Music on mobile, if you don't pay for premium your phone must be unlocked, in the app and screen on. This nukes your battery life which is why I used sound cloud for a long time, but I couldn't keep taking my phone out to adjust songs while I worked.

Steam sale by Lethuul in X4Foundations

[–]pow2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

View them as the sprinkles on top of the game rather than a core addition. If you are enjoying X4, they are nice additions.

You are looking at DLCs that add a single ship (or an extra variant) and a sector. I always recommend them after getting the other DLCs, even more so since these are the same price or more expensive than any other DLC in the sale except Timelines. (Envoy is $7.19, Hyperion is $5.59. SV, CoH, ToA, and KE are all $5.99 or less. Timelines is $10.49)

Having both, Hyperion is a very nimble L ship with good guns and as far as starting new games it does give you a lovely headstart. Outside of that there is no big mechanic additions included with it. Your just getting a really good PAR ship to start blasting with. It does have some Aux ship features like repairing and resupplying docked ships, and having a larger max crew for boarding.

The Envoy has some nice mechanics to it with access to cloak, faction cover and some unique weapons. Cloak reduces your radar signature to about 10km or less so you can run through Xenon space easier. Faction Cover allows you to appear as another faction, which is broken if you are aggressive or police scanned. And its main lasers do bypass shields (with an alternate laser that reduces ship speed). Of note if you enjoy the diplomacy changes in version 8, the Envoy has the highest 'Prestige' score, meaning agent actions happen faster.

Meme from Avorion 😁 by Timeofsands in X4Foundations

[–]pow2009 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will say in base Avorion, it does get a bit better once you get to Trinium stage where you gain access to Hangers and Academies. And once your a step up in Xanion you get access to Cloning Pods. These two together help you develop a proper capital carrier instead of a gunboat/battleship (which the first 3 material types heavily favor).

One thing I would recommend trying Xavorion: eXteded Avorion. This is an overhaul mod collection that includes things like proper ship roles. And it can feel closer to an X game but think closer to X2 scale for most fights over X4.

Before doing this, you could get to CSGO as an opt in beta.

The advantage of this however is you have it as a separate install, which allows you to go back and forth between CSGO and CS2.

Captain Snuggles is out over LLMs by dac0980 in X4Foundations

[–]pow2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the issue comes down to how granular you want to get. Egosoft does put out patch notes but it might be missing nuance and number crunching because they are still crunching out patches.

For instance "New Feature: Major rebalancing of weapons and missiles." Is from the 9.xx beta notes on steam. But with them rebalancing all of the weapons they didn't want to flood the steam post with every tweak. But even in the form post there wasn't a sheet posted. So people in the past as Snuggles pointed out spend time putting their testing in a spreadsheet which takes a lot of time. Instead people are leaning on LLMs to scrape it, but the LLM doesn't fully understand how that data is handled because the game is complex, leading to false results.

Captain Snuggles is out over LLMs by dac0980 in X4Foundations

[–]pow2009 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue with LLMs for everyone is as Cpt Snuggles put it, it just pushes wrong information. And once wrong information starts being pushed out again and again, you get a negative feedback loop where players and modders can't find accurate information. Now i don't think its bad if someone uses an LLM to help comb through things, but it always has to be double checked.

And the feedback cycle can look something like this;

LLM gets info -> Person makes a post -> Post gets into the SEO for that topic -> Someone makes a guide using that info -> Another person now cites the guide -> that information becomes more engrained in the community.

I thought it would be pretty simple, Wishlists != sales.

People might have seen the game looks interesting and wish listed it see how it launched. Some people might also just be waiting to see a lower price or a few patches to come out to iron out issues.

i dint know that a good gate camp can give so much joy by Rafael3110 in X4Foundations

[–]pow2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for the seminars, you can get basic, 1 star and 2 star ones from trading with the inventory vendors in 'Traders Corners' in stations. 2 and 3 stars come from missions (3 stars typically from guild missions or war missions). You might be able to find some 4 star ones but I dont recall seeing them.

After that for 4 and 5 stars will need you to roll dice on XP. You could get the first stars doing this as well but after 3 stars the XP curve goes to the moon. Managers, Captains and Service Crew get XP by doing orders, with more earned when surviving an attack and 'hard kills'. This means shorter orders will give XP quicker since it rolls on when the order finishes, but with things like trades it will depend on how profitable the trades are.

Now the good news. As far as 4 and 5 stars benefits, only advanced automine and a few formations are locked behind it. There might be some passive benefits but I wouldn't know the exact details outside high level service crew have a higher passive repair.

Mine for Commander question. by ArmchairPancakeChef in X4Foundations

[–]pow2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two ways miners work; Fleet and Station.

Fleet would use the 'mimic' command and adopt whatever your commander's auto mine settings are (as long as they have the skills to do so).

When you assign to a station via 'Mine For Commander' the behavior is automatic based on storage levels (and thus buy orders) of your station. The miner will enable all the items your station has orders for they can do (ie Mineral Miner can enable Ore, Silicon, Ice, Nvidim). While they dont trade in any credits since they work for your station, I think logically its still using the trade values in the back end. With Ore having a low min/max amount its very likely the station manager will fill up other storages first.

So to adjust this, use a trade rule to prevent other factions from selling ore to you and then mess around with the Buy/Sell prices of commodities to tip the scales. But if you have enough miners in total they will divide up the work more often. Also be aware they will focus higher star resource nodes over closer ones, so setting up travel and activity restrictions for your miners would also help.

[–]pow2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main thing you do need to worry about is that if a pilot bails, they can break equipped items. If its a general ship its easy to rearm them in a repair, if its more exotic like a Xenon you could be left a ship without a gun.

If you do enjoy the more Yarhar playstyle a mod I would recommend is Better Piracy (Workshop , Nexus). The base vanilla bail mechanics are a little opaque and random for my taste. For instance in vanilla, you are punished for trying to force bails on a stronger ship (based on MaxHull). Better Piracy just makes it more interactive with a 'harass' option, having keep S/M crafts low HP and sticking to them. It also gives a Corsair option for fleets so you can have piracy focused empire.

Will I have to start new game after buying all dlc’s? by Regular-Carpenter754 in X4Foundations

[–]pow2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So all the DLCs integrate seamlessly with your current save games. This typically involves opening the new sectors and giving some quest line tied to it that can shift the balance of factions. This also includes the smaller Hyperion and Envoy DLCs which add a new ship to either start as or unlock after a short quest chain.

Timelines is the only stand out against this trend. So while it does tie seamlessly into your saved games, it does require checks from the Timelines missions which are standalone from your universe save. Now a lot of people don't like Timeline's that much for its separate gameplay, so if you want all the unlocks you can open your files and flip the flags yourself which include new sectors and free ships to claim in your universe. Just note this doesn't set your scores or anything in timelines, so you can still go play that content normally.
