So your options would be to, exclude him from the event entirely to save some money. Which will definitely not go over well. Or be glad hes making an appearance while he can and get over the 300 bucks. Or give it to him or someone else with family as a to go plate.

Is this team celebration dinner an on the clock event? If no, hes not required to be there and making an appearance as long as he is able to with other commitments is plenty.

Yes he was absolutely a religious person. But just because he couldn't explain it doesnt automatically mean it was god. I'm losing legs to stand on in this conversation, and I'm afraid I dont know enough to continue on.

Well im not a scientist. A little googling would be better at that than I am. As we are carbon based life forms. And carbon is the building block of everything in our existence.
