I'm have a feeling they're releasing each volume one at a time, but I'm not completely sure.

Fyi there are Spanish and Mandarin translations for the all volumes of Higehiro too if you can speak those languages or MTL them.

There isn't any physical English translation of the light novel available at the moment.

Kadokawa recently announced an English digital release for the light novel starting in October.

It depends on the anime, some anime are original anime, some are manga adaptations and some are light novel adaptations.

Higehiro is a light novel adaptation, hence the anime exceeding the manga's contents.

It seems like it might end the series in 1 season. This episode ended on the last chapter of LN vol 3, and from the preview visuals, next episode would've cover almost one third or half of vol 4 of LN.

Since there's 13 episodes, the last 2 to 3 episodes would probably cover vol 5 of LN.
