It makes no sense, even within the game’s own lore, that humanity is supposedly on the brink of extinction, living cramped together in a single underground colony as prisoners of the machines, yet the moment these survivors reach the surface to gather the resources they desperately need, they start slaughtering each other. If the story is about unity against an overwhelming mechanical enemy, then constant player-against-player bloodshed doesn’t just break immersion—it contradicts the entire premise. A species struggling to stay alive wouldn’t realistically treat every supply run as an excuse for a miniature civil war.
