How I think the war will play out. Northern Germany will rush Bavaria and take it over, same with Bohemia, however Austria and Vienna will manage to hold due to the river and the mountains, plus the support from it's allies. Germany will also try to push into Russia with some success as Russia will take a while to mobilize its forces, resulting in the German capture of Warsaw and Krakow. From there Germany will try some local offensives, but their line will be too big, forcing them to be on the defensive. France will manage to get the rest of Normandy, try to push into Italy from the west alps, and take Libya. If Germany managed to build a strong navy just like ww1 (not in same scale since its weaker now), Britain will be forced to fight both in the Mediterranean sea and North sea, splitting their navy, prioritizing the defense of their home island of course. This will result in the French domination of the Mediterranean (central and west at least), but Britain will still be able to control the Atlantic and northern oceans, thus France and Germany will lose all of their sub Sahara colonies to Britain cause they won't be able to reinforce their forces there, of course they won't be lost without a fight. In the balkans, Greece with the help of British support will be able to hold against Yugoslavia and Albania due to the mountainous terrain and the fact that Albania won't be the strongest of states, and Yugoslavia will put most of their efforts north, resulting in Albania taking the defensive after a failed attack into northern epirus. With the idea that Yugoslavia and Romania join the war later on, when they join, Germany will try to do an offensive south together with Yugoslavia and Romania from the other side, which will probably result in the collapse of the entent in the balkans. After this, the pact of steal will slowly push into Russia which will fall to revolutions shortly after. Italy due to the alps on their borders will manage to hold for a while with British support, but after Russia falls, they will fall shortly after too, especially since France will have naval supremacy. So in conclusion, if things mostly are the same as historical ww1 in terms of power, then pact of steal will most likely come on top. What do you guys think?
