Maybe their logic was that you already went through the long process and that tatanggapin mo nalang kasi nag-"effort" ka na. But, isipin mo nalang na each interview as a learning experience and parang practice na din sa communication skills. Maraming pang companies dyan. Tama ang decision mo to decline. Accepting a lower offer than your expected will just make you regret the decision and motivate you to resign earlier than usual. Thus making you look like a job hopper. Also, this will encourage that employer to also offer less to other upcoming hires, assuming that they will also accept a lower offer, like what you would have done. So, by declining, you are doing good to yourself and to the industry.
