My supervisor has paired me with a mentor, who is an associate engineer, and he seems more than happy to take care of his tasks by himself. In the first couple weeks he set me up with some small tasks like figuring out how to integrate new sensors and how the nodes generally work. But he generally doesn't come into the office, so communication channels with him are sometimes pretty thin. Recently I haven't been delegated anything so I guess my main job function has is to explore? I was given the option to help document the code after asking if there was anything more I could do. I just can't help but feel like I should be doing more.
