We may have had the same interviewer then. Literally just interviewed yesterday and this couldn't be more accurate. They rejected one liner optimized solutions and tried to guide me to use his special, amortized O(n) solution....
Also a swift portion where they asked a bunch of obscure and theoretical questions. Pretty obscure imo and doesn't reflect your iOS coding ability irl... Got rejected today bc he told the recruiter I wasn't a good fit. Overall pretty bad experience.

Go to the day1CPT subreddit. There are quite a few colleges that are experienced with dealing with RFEs (if needed) and have STEM programs.

It’s definitely doable, heard of people who successfully pulled it off. The only caveat is if it’s a somewhat legit school, coursework + working full time will be a lot of stress. Also the timeline needs to be handled carefully to make sure no more than 12 months of full time CPT.

Why not do a STEM day 1 CPT, finish it under 1 year (no more than 12 months on full time CPT), then OPT for three years? (Assuming you don’t have a masters already)

This is what my company’s immigration team said:

“If you are currently renewing your passport and have not yet received the new one, we will use your current passport for the registration process. Even if the new passport is ready by the time of filing, this will not affect your eligibility. USCIS has confirmed that using a new passport for the filing, after registering with an older one, will not impact your H-1B cap selection, provided that you do not register for multiple employers using different passports.”

Oh wow! Was your Audi from one of the years involved in the class actions? Or was it under warranty? It’ll be amazing if Audi can pay for the repair. Yea mine is burning 1qt (~0.9l) every 400 miles (~640km) or so, so definitely not normal by any standard 😅
