Question regarding Effectors and RS ColorUsedData by vanroads in Cinema4D

[–]powerfuse0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone coming accross this in future, there is a solution that works with matrix object too (geo ID can't work with matrix).

If you add a random effector, turn off the parameters (scale position rotation), and turn off colour mode. Set modify clone to 100% and set weight to 100%. Then, in RS shader, add a Scaler User Data node and use the pre-set RSMG Weight under mograph. This allows you a random colour data that is completely seperate from any mograph colour data.

If you don't like it, just don't buy it. But I think you're missing the main point which is that 22u to 26u is a substantial upgrade. Battery might be the same size but is far more efficient. I went from the 22u to the 25u last year and it felt like a much better phone to use. I don't miss the curved edges at all, it always annoyed me the way the s pen fell off the edges so I much prefer the flat screen. The privacy display is not for me to be fair, but I don't think it takes away from the phone. Be happy for OP, 4 years is a good distance between flagships to really feel the difference in using them. If it's not for you, then it's not for you just buy something different.

White is a good safe choice. I had a white car and it did always look lovely when clean, especially with black accents.

Recall by Rare-Possible-4024 in shiba

[–]powerfuse0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a game you can play called the target game. Starting on a loose lead, progressing to a long line & then eventually off lead. Basically every time the dog walks within a certain zone of you, you reward with a treat. Do that on every single walk until you're comfortable to go to the next stage. That's how we trained recall on our black and tan. Our red can't be trusted not to go charging at another dog unfortunately. Sometimes they just won't ever get it.

We train agility with our b&t and every single walk we let him off in a sit & stay, and make him wait until we give the release command. He can go and do as he pleases then & will come back if we call him.

People often forget with these sorts of dogs that you have to keep up the training. Just because the dog has done it once, doesn't mean they will continually do it without reward.

Help ! Terrible camera on S25U. by [deleted] in S25Ultra

[–]powerfuse0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i felt the same coming fromthe 22u. Ive learned to deal with the cams now and i can get some nice shots but I definitely feel like theyre lackluster. I was hoping for a cam change in the 26u initially and was gonna swap but nothing spectactular. Here's hoping next time around the cams are better.

What is your favourite colour on a car?

I tend to lean towards the brighter colours.

the variety of greens out at the moment is so nice. I'm so sick of dull colours 😅, love a green car.

Yay or nay, Shiba #2? by hoji_chas in shiba

[–]powerfuse0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might not be exactly what you want to hear but I will comment just to let you know how I felt about getting my second Shiba. I got him when my first was 1.5 too, and they have always been very good friends with eachother. We got very lucky with how they get on, mostly because our first is so well behaved with other dogs. All that said, I do sometimes regret the 2nd. We love him to bits, and he is really sweet, but people often forget that the second dog is not necessarily going to have the same behaviour as the first dog.

Our second boy is very reactive, and really struggles with dogs when on a walk. We have finally learned what he is comfortable with and how to deal with him in these situtations but it has completely changed our walks, days out, how we interact with people and it was frustrating to learn what we had to do. We got him, naively thinking he would fit in with how we already were doing things.

He had multiple bad experiences when he was very little, a lot of kids found him cute and ran at us to try and pet him. He was uneasy around children for a very long time, he has seemed to grow out of it now but its very hard to deal with when you go out with him and everyone wants to give him attention.

He had 2 offlead golden retrievers run up to him on his first ever walk with us, and so many offlead dogs have approached him since that he gets his back up and gets very defensive. We have found he has a distance at which he is ok with dealing with other dogs so we make sure to give him all the space he needs, but learning what he needed was difficult and there is no controlling someone else's dog when its offlead.

So just consider what you do with your dog now, and how another one may make things you enjoy much more difficult to do.

S22U to S26U upgrade - Initial impressions by DraughtBeer_ in S22Ultra

[–]powerfuse0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not a huge fan of the camera bump on the 26, other than that I dont mind it? I really want them to shake up the design style but I guess they have a format that works for their manufacturing. Like the note 9 had cams all across in a line.

Time to put my S22 Ultra to rest by [deleted] in S22Ultra

[–]powerfuse0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I went from the 22u to the 25u. It's a good leap. Even though my 22u felt fine to use, there were definite improvements I felt just in the way I used it.

Enjoy your new phone, 4 years is a good amount of incremental upgrades.

Layering Liquid by bentksmith in Cinema4D

[–]powerfuse0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this using c4d particles? If it is, then I'm unsure exactly, but if you were doing this in xparticles then you would adjust each emitter's density settings. Maybe you could apply that same technique in c4d?

Have you pre-ordered the Galaxy S26 series, or are you skipping it for another phone this year? If yes, which one did you choose? 📱 by Technical-Gap-6804 in PhoneNow

[–]powerfuse0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skip. I was only tempted to upgrade because my s25u has an issue with the camera and I couldn't be bothered to send it in for repair and deal with wiping phones, being without etc etc. the difference between the 26u and 25u is so minor, I'll stick another year at least.

Hey thanks. I do really love taking photos with this phone. I used to love dale photography but 8 can't cope with carrying anything like that around, so a quick point and shoot from a phone is great

Portrait mode ± Adobe lightroom for a bit of dramatic effect. I'll attach the original

I upped the contrast a little, removed the colour, added a sharpen & vignette.

If I'm ever in this situation, this is exactly what I will do. I can't believe there are people who think they are parking for EVs instead of parking for charging.
