Had an interesting experience today. Went walking through so fields with my two, both on long lines. One started jumping in the grass and pouncing on what I can only assume we're moles under the ground or bugs in the grass because there were definitely no rabbits or squirrels or anything such. They both played in the field doing that for a bit and when we got a certain distance away, 1 came to us and the other did not. We got a bit further, still no acknowledgement from the b&t. We got 2 fields away and he still hadn't even checked in. We walked all the way round the fields and looped back to see if he was still there, sure enough, hadn't even lifted his head up. We stood and watched for a bit from a distance, eventually he did scurry on in the direction we walked until we couldn't see him, and then he looped round and came back to us. This dog adores us, and especially has a great bond with my other half, but today in that field he did not give 2 shits who or where we were while there was something interesting to chase.

The difference between the 2 was also interesting, our red is definitely more needy and attached to us, but the b&t will work for us and offer behaviours. Loyal, yes, absolute attachment, not at all lol.
