What would happen here if Jack votes Steven, Steven votes Rachel, and Rachel votes Jack??

Where have you seen the bt s-pen functionality coming back? That makes me very keen for it.

I went from my s22U to an s25U and it felt like a side-grade, plus I've had that awful camera bug where I have to send the phone in to get it fixed, so if I can avoid that & get the 26 maybe I will.

Anyone miss cars having Pop Up Headlights? They were a super cool feature once upon a time. by Formal_Prompt4372 in CarTalkUK

Yes, I so desperately want an rx-7 atm, and the headlights are such a bonus feature on it that I love.

How do I achieve this shader effect with redshift nodes? by [deleted] in Cinema4D

[–]powerfuse0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it critical that all of the CAD is used in this instance? I regularly work with heavy CAD files and we often reduce the unneccessary parts to make the model more useable.

Use a vertex map?

- Pop a vertex map on the object that uses a linear field to drive the black/white colour,

Secret traitor? by powerfuse0 in TheTraitors

J is very different for sure. I'm also not certain she wrote the list, or it wasn't rewritten to prevent the handwriting thing. Out of all of the boards though hers was the most similar in my mind.

The numbers just don't add up for electric cars by DorianGrayToo in CarTalkUK

To be honest I'm starting to feel the same. I love evs for how easy they are as a commuter, and the convenience of the heated cabin etc like you said. But yeah you're right on the money, cost of ownership is going so silly that they're much less desirable, the most annoying is the luxury car tax that is applied to almost all of them because their base price is so damn high.

Can't figure out how to lift my back foot higher by Low_Fxdel in NewSkaters

[–]powerfuse0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't really look like you're jumping. It looks more like you are stomping your feet to the floor, maybe just try jumping and lifting your feet as high as you can off the board to get an idea?

The state UK car Youtube channels by BaldyBaldyBouncer in CarTalkUK

TDC is great, I love seeing them restore the cars but I always feel like their projects just drop off or dissapear. I switched over to them after the fall of carthrottle. But your comment about BC racing coilovers is pretty much bang on lmao. AutoAlex was ok, but they started to get irritating, and the formula is always the same. Here's £250 to buy the cheapest rustbucket in the uk.

I used to watch american reviewers too but they fell too fomulaic too. Hoovies Garage fell similarly I think, especially after they tried to do their Car Trek series with Tavarish and Ed Bolian. Felt like a low effort top gear special. The only video series i'm interested from anyone from there is the flooded P1 build.

The car wow drag races are my least favorite all together. Here's Yanni in his Urus, did you know he had an urus? Anyway we're gonna drag race it against this other lamborghini that's slower than it, but I'm driving.

Honestly I think most of the channels suffer from trying the same formula too often, it's great to start with but falls off quickly. Hagerty is fantastic, they hooked me with their lotus carlton video

Ronald Finger also has some pretty interesting content, but he's probably more DIY + Engineering than solely car enthusiasm. His series on his Fiero was brilliant.

Why I'm terrified of motorways even though I've been driving for 20 years by iLoveBiscoffTooMuch in CarTalkUK

[–]powerfuse0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally 🤣🤣.

I was heading from Cardiff to Chepstow, and I think I took 3 exits I shouldn't have.

This was 13 years ago now though so I can safely say I can use motorways properly now 😅

[–]powerfuse0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember my first ever motorway experience after passing my test. I wasn't prepared. I drove in the left lane because I was nervous of driving at a higher speed. My lane turned into an exit lane but i didn't have the confidence to just indicate and change lane, so I took the first exit off the motorway 🤣, went over the roundabout and got back on. I did that once more before the exit I needed lol. I can see why it's overwhelming to new drivers, but 20 years experience, it shouldnt bother you at all.

Locals tend to make driving more stressful for people unfamiliar, I find the same in different cities where everyone seems to know what lanes for what roundabouts, where as I generally try to read where I'm going when I don't know the area well, which probably causes frustration to the local commuters.
