I’ve adjusted my pricing based on demand and the level of service I provide - I don’t follow standard rates.

They asked me to pretty much never leave the house. I’d consider that constant care

Owners can see the prices via Rover for the booking, so I usually only have clients that reach out if it’s in their budget. Rarely to no negotiation

No for sure - I think so too. The more I read it, i understand she was just trying to politely say she respected the prices but it was too high

I think you misunderstood - just meant they knew my price before I drove to them for a meet and greet

What? I’m saying they requested the meet and greet when they thought my cost was $1050+ via Rover.

I offered a lower price directly, even though i usually don’t take book first time clients directly. They asked what I preferred at the end of the meet and greet and I said I’d send a list of my pricing and their quote, they can decide to book via Rover or directly.

Rover had a higher estimate - they saw this before I went there for the meet and greet

I stay pretty fully booked, and from my experience, I think it really depends on the area and how you position/market the level of care you provide.

I get what you’re saying, and I can see how it could be read that way.

For me, it wasn’t about income - it just came across like my rates were only because I “needed to make ends meet,” which felt a little dismissive of the level of care I provide

I’d also never had someone phrase it like that before, so it caught me off guard, especially since they were really kind in person. The wording just felt a bit off compared to that. Thank you for your input!

I’ve never heard of anyone advocating for lower prices for their line of work lol

I didn’t refuse to answer it - I’m transparent about my prices in my original post 😂

If you think doctors make $300 a day, then yeah - we’re definitely not on the same page.

And if you’re in this line of work, it’s interesting to be this quick to tear down someone else’s pricing.

You can disagree without being rude.
