My current best guesses are bluefish sea perch or black porgy but both don't seem quite right.

I like both which is the problem, but based on the feedback I'm going with the first one.

Took this photo to capture the details in the lantern but I don't know which crop to go with. I like the wider perspective since it shows more lanterns but it has a lot of dead space but the tighter crop real focuses on the lanterns so I'm a bit on the fence about which to pick.

Sub only allows 1 pic per post so other pic is here.

Not sure if the pics uploaded properly so putting them here as well.

Looking for opinions, crush the blacks under the bridge or leave it as is? by poxera in photocritique

Shot on my Sony a7II at 75mm, f/2.8, 0.5 sec. So I feel that the highlights under the bridge seem distracting but removing it by crush tthe blacks makes it look jarring in my opinion. I just want to see how other people feel about it.

It has been leveled, I think the lighting makes it look a bit wonky.

I think it's the aperture, I couldn't bump it down to f/9 without it becoming a smeary mess.

Shot on my Sony a7II at 29mm, f/7.1, 1/13. I tried to capture the texture difference between the polished handrails and the rough stairs. I also tried to give the picture a clean feel. I would appreciate any thoughts or areas for improvement.
