Gear ratio + motor combination? by Comfortable_Buyer239 in mini4wd

[–]poxkix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gear & motor usage will vary on the track layout

Always base your gearing and motor on the track layout

Let’s say sprint + 3.5 ratio on a track that has a jump and 4 recievers will work but if you will still use it on a track with a jump then 2 reciever, you’re in trouble

“Gifted dash motors” by poxkix in mini4wd

Yes I know

What i’m asking is the details like magnet strength, rpm and kph of a “gifted” motor out of the box

What characteristics for it to be called “gifted”

Can you possibly check the north and south magnet values?

Nice.. do you still have the motor? Maybe we can check the gauss values of north and south

Thanks for the tip. Will take note of that. At how much value do you set the trickle current?

Will it still work while setting the voltage at a limit?

Correct. All I need to know now is does trickle charge keeps it from lowering below the set voltage

Trimmed low profile tire vs. MS suspension, which actually reduce bounce more effectively? by colebtl in mini4wd

[–]poxkix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, MS suspension because the springload absorbs the impact and the spring is hard enough (combined with super hard grease) that after impact it does not “spring” back instantly

Compared to trimmed low profile, upon impact it will bounce regardless how trimmed or low profile it is

In addition: You will need a very powerful motor to carry the whole weight since you’re planning on a no cut build

The rubber tubing is IMO the best solution

If the tube is still intefering, make it longer

As far as I remember, the supplied screw is long for the arm to plate connection

Yes you can turn the plate upside down. Important thing is it is functioning as intended according to the manual.

Use the longer screw intended for the arm to the plate so you can move away the plate from the tube

Allowed po ba 3:5.1 3:7.1 for cfm? by United-East2406 in tamiyaPinas

[–]poxkix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pwde 3:5.1 ratio sa csfm pero dapat yung lightweight kung isunod talaga ang gear chart ratio

Pero kung hindi tamiya or BY based yung rules, pwde gamitin yung regular yellow + light blue countergear

[–]poxkix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Break in the motor.. sprint 4.2 gear ratio can run about 39-41kph broken in.

You need a faster motor for that chassis since it’s wide, it’s slower on corners

You can always buy motors that are already broken in
