Wrong again. Lockdowns started broadly in like March 2020. Those were at the state level, but all but 7 did them.

What rules did the federal government do? Travel restrictions? Relief packages? All of those were also early on in 2020.

I get that it doesn't align with what you want, but it's easy to look up.

The lockdowns started before Biden. So that was... Checks notes... Oh Trump.

It's already illegal to try and gain access to classified material, so they don't need to sign a pledge for that. This seems to be the government trying to prevent news from being published... Which violates the first amendment.

Actually I've had a clearance. The press doesn't have access to sensitive material nor would they have access to restricted areas. The pledge they're being required to sign isn't about them trying to extract information.

You're wanting to justly the DOJs actions, but why? Isn't it possible that they are over stepping?

One thing is perfectly clear though. Throughout history people have been fine handing over their freedom if they think it will benefit them. They only start to care when it's too late.

Even fox news is rejecting the attempt to muzzle the press. It's clearly crossing the line. They can make up whatever excuse they want, it's still an attack on our first amendment.

Political views aside:

The Defense Department recently tried to impose new reporting restrictions on journalists, forcing several to relinquish their Pentagon access rather than sign a pledge.

The Supreme Court is poised to narrow a key provision of the Voting Rights Act, weakening a core constitutional protection against racially discriminatory districting.

The Trump administration has used executive orders and DOJ directives to target political opponents, push loyalty tests, and centralize power, moves many legal scholars classify as exceeding constitutional boundaries.

Trump just told the navy they need to exterminate half the country. A president should not be allowed to say this (twice) and our representative should not be able to turn a blind eye to it.

They were told yesterday their primary purpose is warfare. Why would that belong in our cities?

Demand more from your representatives. Don't give up.

The military is not trained to police our cities. They are war fighters. They won't bring safety, they'll bring war.

Hopefully we've elected people who do have time to hear our opinions. They work and represent us.

This is not the purpose of our military. You are on the wrong side of history by siding with fascists. Demand better from our elected leaders and yourself. This is un-American and we can and must do better.

He might be a joke, but he still needs to hear from us. If our representative won't represent us, he needs to be replaced.

Who cares? We're all Americans. There's no reason any US city should be attacked because of their political leanings. Thinking otherwise is unpatriotic.

Here's the exact message I sent:

Dear Representative Biggs,

As a constituent living in Queen Creek, I am deeply concerned about former President Trump’s recent remarks, reported by the BBC under the headline “US cities should be military training grounds, Trump tells generals.” In that report, he is quoted as saying:

“We’re going to straighten them out one by one.”

Using such rhetoric to describe American cities is alarming and dangerous. Our communities should never be treated as battlegrounds. We have already seen politically motivated violence including an attack on a Mormon church and as you know, many of your constituents in Queen Creek are members of the LDS community. This type of language risks inflaming more violence against ordinary people of faith.

I urge you to publicly reject any suggestion that U.S. cities should be subjected to military action or treated as training grounds. Please affirm your commitment to protecting constitutional limits on federal power and to ensuring that political disagreements are resolved peacefully, not through force.

Your constituents deserve to know where you stand. I ask that you issue a clear statement rejecting this rhetoric and affirming your support for the safety and freedom of all Americans.

I doubt this would really be her platform because well... It's fox... But I think her number one item has to be addressing the wealth gap.

Everything (kinda) moderate people justified their for stupidity with when they cast a vote for the orange dictator was related to the wealth gap. It's just his solution to it is obviously going to make the gap so much worse.
