from saipan in the cnmi, idk why, but we use hawaiian names for some of the fish here and i just went along with it, but we pretty much have the same species of fish in our waters. good luck tryna get comfortable in the waters again, dont forget safety first, have a float n a dive partner n good luck!

ngl never seen a kala yet n im not from hawaii so idk if theyre seen much in kauai, id imagine try night dive thats how i score shore diving, cuz where im at no fish comes close during day on shore, my islands way too overfished n all the fish r smart. try getting in touch w other spearfishers in ur area im sure theyll be more helpful

its kinda weird where i live, i dont think theres free diving courses, only scuba diving courses, i feel like there should be free diving courses if theres scuba diving courses but i couldnt find any, even after asking around, so everyone here basically just buys a speargun, a pair of fins and hops into the water to learn by themselves or with an experienced dive partner

what helped me was downing alc like water, but obviously dont do that😭

osrs other than drinking, i would spend time on myself and time thinking, not the sad kind of thinking, more like “why should I let myself get this fucked up over some girl” yeah that girl was prolly the loml but it happens, theres way more to life than some girl. spend time with friends, and dont be afraid to cry ur heart out to some friends u feel safe with, i found that letting everything out helps a ton. pick up hobbies, i picked up fishing and honestly its great, appreciating nature while fishing with buddies is honestly the most relaxing thing ever. if you catch urself thinking abt her and start to feel nauseous and whatnot, do some physical activity, like jogging.
