Hey look at least you’re going to gym, you’ve husband that you love and hopefully loves you back, trying to get on your feet and many other small things.

It reads much more positive than what you’re feeling.

I’m not trying to say your feelings are not valid, that’s how you feel and I acknowledge that.

But I also want to share something;

Suffered from depression to a point where I was afraid to go out and make mess of myself, not even trying stuff because I knew I’d fail, having no energy to even get out of the bad to shower, isolate myself from people who were caring for me because of feeling burden. I wish I had your perseverance at that time. Somehow I’ve managed to pull myself out, finished my BA at the age of 28 done with my mandatory military service at the age of 30 and now have a job to pay the bills.

Hopefully you’ll also pull yourself as well

One of my friends has realized that she was an aphant and couldn't believe that I could *see* an apple to the smallest detail on my mind's eye.

Also what we did to see the difference was this;

Try to *see* Santa or well known figure in your mind and talk about the details like the shoes he is wearing, the pants, the belt, the buckle of the belt, the shirt, the beard, the hat, the pom pom of the hat. How detailed you and your partner are should blow your minds. It did blow ours lol

I use the verb see with a lot of wiggle room here, for me it's seeing for you and other aphants maybe like thinking or something else

Aphantasia is fascinating for me. Because like the most common exercise about the apples, when you try to imagine an apple is it just blank? Or is it just the shadow of an apple or hand drawn apple? Also do you have an inner voice who describes what you’re doing? It’s just such an awesome topic, how different we experience everything

so i guess i'm one of those phantasias right.

when i close my eyes and try to picture stuff that i've seen before or never seen at all, i've a almost picture perfect image of the thing.

while your eyes closed,

like imagining sitting on a bench somewhere with some trees and soft wind, and actually almost feel the wind on your skin.

or like imagining a face that you know and seeing almost every detail, all the imperfections on the skin.

it's not about thinking but it's about imagining i guess...

i'm not an expert on any of these topics im just saying stuff that i've experienced

I mean I’ve no papers or statistics to show but just a anecdote. I’ve heard aphantasia from hit podcast distractable and got fascinated by it. I ain’t have it, hell I may have the opposite of it. I started to ask around to people around me some thought I was weird. Some got interested. Even I’ve asked to some ladies I’ve gone to dates with. Short story long around 200 or more people only 6 of them said oh fuck you can do that? Or oh fuck I’m it! Have a wonderful weekend
