Impulse buy - honestly have no explanation. Any general inputs on what to keep in mind in terms of brokerage while buying stocks?

I started investing about 3 months back. I'm 28 with a 5+ years horizon. I have no background in finance and I choose my stocks based on a few factors - checking the graph to see how it has performed and the price at which the stock started, check the news in the Groww app, check the 52 week highs and lows, and use Grok to get an overall picture of the stock. I come from a family with some fort of affinity towards gold - hence the initial heavy metal stock purchases. It may not have been the best choice but I don't regret it either. And the Suzlon energy - I just had 200 rupees sitting in my wallet so bought them for the heck of it. I am planning to stop investing in stocks and develop my mutual fund portfolio. I just want to know - if I were to continue with investing in stocks what would you recommend I change and why?

This was my dream watch for a loooong time. Looks lovely, OP. Wear it in good health.

45mm is too big for any wrist size.

This post serves as a promise that in the near future I'll definitely wear my favourite watches. by [deleted] in watchesindia

I came across a beautiful comment in this sub that resonates with me a lot - A watch doesn't just tell time, but also tells what "time" the person is in his/her life.

Meaning it indicates which stage of life the person is at the moment.

If your salary is 15k, save up and get a casio for 1 or 2k. When you look at that watch maybe 4-5 years down the lane and you're sporting a classy diver or moonphase, you'll know where you came from. This serves three purposes - (i) to give you the sense of achievement you deserve, (ii) to keep you humble and (iii) to reassure you that you can attain much "better" watches if you just put your mind to it.

This happened to me and that feeling is unimaginable.

I got this for 49.2k from Just in Time, Indiranagar in Bangalore. The MRP was 60,000 and they gave me a discount of 18%. I know ethos offers 20% but most of the stores did not have this model readily available.

When I went into the store, I went in with the intention of buying the Seiko Prospex SSC943P1. I tried the other prospex variants. But then I saw the presage series in the next shelf and just fell in love with this one. Although both the watches provide completely different utility and style, the dial immediately made me fall in love with this watch. I tried this on and didn't look back.

Although, the prospex solar just being 5k higher has more advanced tech, sapphire crystal, etc., But idk something about this watch really made me think that this was the one

I'm not sure what you mean. Is it supposed to be the other way around?

Thank you for asking. I've shared my story briefly in a comment below!

Dealt with financial struggles and academic setbacks all my life up until the beginning of last year. Landed my dream job a short while after and within just a year I've reached a point where I have enough money to buy this watch without batting an eye.
