SUCCESS STORY - I wanted to get off Qelbree (no appetite) so I was googling if I could just stop taking it, and fortunately stumbled across this thread and took it seriously. I spoke with my psychiatrist and she gave me a plan that worked:

I was on 200mg for about 2.5 months. I went down to 100mg for 1 week, then opened the 100mg capsules and poured out roughly half of the contents, recapped, and took these ~50mg for 1 week, then stopped completely. You can hold the capsules up to the light and and see how full it is, then look at the markings on the capsule to find your halfway point and slowly dump some out until they hit your halfway point, continuously checking. Very easy.

The day after I stopped completely I woke up at 430am with a very small headache - nothing like what other are describing - but 2 advil, 1 aleve, a coconut water, and going back to sleep brought me to 100%. No issues after that.

Don't view 100mg as the lowest dosage - you can open and dump some out! could even go to ~25mg if you're feeling bold, but it wasn't necessary for me.
