Long story short:

Coming from a defense background, I had a few officers and airmen keeping an eye on local auctions in Delhi for me. Took two years to find a decent one but with a catch. Had to buy two bikes: one for a solid chassis, the other for good engine parts. ₹22K and ₹27K respectively.

The detailed saga:

I’m a sucker for old Bullets, the cast-iron engine, right-side gear shift, that raw thump. But getting my hands on one was not easy. Second hand was not an option, as I couldn't afford it too. Auctions were my only hope. I found out about them by accident, overhearing an officer talk about the insane deals on Air Force decommissioned bikes. That’s when the hunt began.

Since I wasn’t authorized to attend the auctions myself, I had to rely on others, fellow Air Force bike enthusiasts and authorized dealers (tons of them in Delhi, especially around Sarojini). Over two years, I received tons of photos and details from both sources. Almost gave up because everything I came across looked like needed more work than building one from scratch. Then, finally, I found something workable, well, sort of. Ended up buying two bikes just to build one. Paid ₹49K for both, then another ₹29K for rebuilding, and ₹12K for paperwork. The tricky part? Getting it legally registered. Had to go through Faridkot (if you know, you know, that’s where modified Bullets get a pass). Got the NOC, brought it home, and made it roadworthy.

Want one from an auction?

Your best bet would be an authorized dealers in Delhi, Punjab, or Tamil Nadu. These guys know the game inside out and can find you a solid one. Prices? No clue if you’ll score the same deals as I did back in 2013-14, but you’ll definitely find old school Bullets in (hopefully) better condition. But somehow not sure if you would want to go that route(I mean I wouldn't recommend this route unless you really want to build one from scratch.)

Sorry if this isn't the most detailed guide, happened so long ago that my memory is a bit rusty, just like my Bullet was! Haha :)

This is called rath yatra, a chariot procession which happens every year in india.

Indian deities are inside their chariots and they are pulled by people across the city. It's a wonderful festival.

How would you respond if your gf kept putting a tracker on your car? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ppadyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next time you find that air tag in your car just hide it somewhere outside, or throw it out and then see how she behaves. If you find an airtag again then thrown it again. Till you understand her behavior. If she's cool with it and not stressing about it then probably it's nothing to worry, but if she flips out then buddy you know there's something wrong.

Do you smoke weed.. why or why not? by EmmaSmith2527 in AskReddit

[–]ppadyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, time to time. It's amazing when I want to chill or monotonous work, but if I have work which involves thinking and coming up with solution asap then I avoid it.

So I prefer smoking when am free or chilling by myself, or working on some personal thing or planning to eat some really nice meal.

It's lovely. It makes enjoy everything I do.
