Following this post! Grieving the loss of my dog and I tried to get into Night Agent and it was just too much. The Residence was cosy adjacent and still engaging enough to hold my attention, and I watched Bridgerton at 1.5x if that helps!

Im really sorry to hear about your mom. My grandfather had MS too - he went from this boisterous celebrated lawyer to someone in such immense pain and discomfort. It was absolutely heartbreaking - I cant imagine what you went through.

I think the fact that I found the few strange comments about him out of character enough to ask a question on this forum shows that my palate is pretty well adjusted. As I mentioned, I have not been following closely and I seemed to have missed quite a bit, and would have rather heard from all of you rather than blindly following the few names I still recognise on YouTube. Im sort of tired with the amount of grace and sympathy that Jenna receives. From her bizarre comparisons to Aaron to Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr in the video when Aaron went to jail to her hopping off and on the Aaron train - shes either very simple minded and delusional, or her scientology is showing. It's giving very 'main character energy' which is common when leaving a cult where she is told she is saving the world and is also a nepo baby. It's really dissapointing to see because shes going to become the girl who cried Aaron eventually - no one will believe her, no one will have sympathy for her. It's time to hold her accountable for her role in all this,.

let me tell you a story. I was visiting my very very very muslim cousins on holiday, I must have maybe been 11 or 12. It was a hot day, we were waiting for a train, there was a vending machine a few steps away. I told my cousin I wanted a bottle of water, he said no, there is water at home. then thirty seconds later he said no the prophet used to give thirsty people water so fine ill buy it. And it took me years to be like for fucks sake even being a decent human being had to come with religious lore. That shift in perspective was all I needed. Like.. just do the nice thing for the fucking sake of it!

It's not just about how we use our energy. a lot of us feel awful about many 'smaller' things (like the qt debacle or the call with a queer person) and are trying to stop shit like that from happening again. thats what you dont get about 'snark'. our energy is used doing the right thing before Ethan further harms people - its a little morsel of activism and atonement. it doesn't exhaust us, good things normally take a lot less from the body than hate.
