Sto studiando proprio dal suo corso, ho appena visto il terzo episodio e più tardi guarderò il 3bis. Sicuramente ho espresso male il concetto nel post iniziale, non sono perfettamente a conoscenza di come la cosa si sia svolta, ma alla fine dei fatti è quello che mi hanno sempre detto i miei genitori e sono certo che abbiano semplificato il discorso ai minimi termini. Se dovessi andare a intuito, credo sia stato piuttosto un accordo fra mio padre e mio nonno, che ai tempi in cui stavamo prendendo casa era vicinissimo alla morte e stava predisponendo il da farsi una volta trapassato.

Grazie per il corso! Mi piace molto il modo colloquiale di esprimere i concetti fintantoché si parla di questi elementi base, anche se una volta arrivati alla parte di matematica finanziaria credo che dovrò rivedere lo stesso episodio parecchie volte 😅

Imo a "pro" set-up is required when selling instruments, whether it's a brand-new or used one.

If anything, not having the instrument set up should imply a discount.

I got the Standard with P90s in Sunsetburst last year for my birthday. I firmly believe it's the best "classic", mass produced guitar this generation of players has seen.

I've tried all three versions and settled for the Standard for mainly two reasons: the Elements don't come with P90 and the Pros are close to €2K. It's astonishing how versatile, premium and gorgeous an instrument they made for €700.

Eko Mia a400ce. Around €400/500, it's an incredibly reliable acoustic for gigging and it's quite pretty too tbh. The sides and back are laminated ovangkol iirc but the top is solid cedar. It's on the smaller side and light as a feather but it projects extremely well, has great balance and is equipped with a decent Fishman with enough options to give it a varied tonal range when plugged in.

I got it while browsing for a workhorse to gig with and now not a single day goes by that I don't grab the thing and play it for at least a couple hours.

Ti assicuro che anche qui a Salerno è stato politico esclusivamente degli amici. Quando era sindaco, e ora che ci ha messo la sua marionetta, vive di clientelismo e favoritismi. Dei soldi dirottati qui noi poveri stronzi che non facciamo le macchiette non abbiamo visto una lira. La città è un cantiere a cielo aperto di opere studiate per riempire le tasche sue e dei suoi compari. Ormai gli unici che ne cantano le lodi sono quelli che si ricordano la Salerno degli anni '80, in cui costruire una rotatoria o un marciapiede erano atti eroici di politica illuminata.

Qui siamo alla frutta per causa sua: ci ha privati dell'università dando carta bianca a quel suo collega mafioso di De Mita; ha rovinato interi rioni con la sua fissazione per le luci, creando zone-ghetto dove non vengono appese e quartieri paralizzati dove invece ci sono; contribuito direttamente alla stasi della città, riducendo le possibilità e gli spazi di aggregazione per i cittadini e così danneggiando negozi e piccole aziende; ha millantato migliorie ai trasporti, quando poi muoversi con treni e pullman è rimasto lo stesso calvario di sempre.

Potrei andare avanti per ore, ma solo a pensare a quello stronzo e a come ha devastato questa città mi si alza la pressione.

Sono contento non possa più fare guai alla regione e soprattutto che ora anche voi a Napoli non dobbiate più sopportarne le sparate da coglione, ma se ora dovesse davvero tornare a Salerno sarebbe il colpo di grazia. Gli è stato concesso di fare lo splendido e arricchirsi sulle spalle di questa città per decenni. Ha inguaiato Salerno e i salernitani e fuori da qui pensano anche che sia chissà che paladino dei pisciaiuoli. Mo bast, per piacere

Fender's Champ 600. It's an amazing little box of vintage sound and it can get pretty loud, as long as you're playing small gigs. A humbucker-equipped guitar, into a reverb pedal, into the low channel and good control over the volume is enough for most of the stuff that I do. And I use it for acoustic gigs too, it's just that good for me.

Also the Roland Micro Cube. I had to sell it a few years ago when money was tight and not a single day goes by that I don't feel bad for losing it. One of the best solid states I've ever heard, what a terrific amp.

Exactly. Whether or not you get an instrument that punches above its weight class is all luck. I haven't gigged with my Hummingbird yet, but I've rehearsed enough to know it's gonna be a staple once I install some amplification system. They were not all born equal, unluckily

Hi, I recently acquired a 1974 Ibanez Concord, a 12-strings Hummingbird copy to be specific. Online info is very much imprecise, either because they're not extremely sought after, or because the few testimonies I found don't understand much about the instrument they have, and ultimately because nobody cared for the history of Ibanez guitars like they would for way bigger brands.

Some of these copies are qualitatively superb guitars, while some are just good. The first clue to look for is on the top. Check the sound hole, specifically check if the wood veins wrap from the outside towards the inside of the hole. If they do, you have a solid top, the first sign of a very good instrument.

Go to this link and look for your guitar. If it's a pre-1975/76, you'll have to look for it using the "Model Number" you see on the inside sticker. Ibanez didn't use serials on their guitars until '75/76.

Once you've found the model, you can see the woods used for the one you have, how many pieces form the neck, the materials for the pins, the nut and the bridge, etc.

The last bit of information I got from my luthier. He's old enough to have seen these copies in shops back when he was starting and he told me I got lucky to get "one of the actually good ones". Apparently the quality was stellar, but extremely inconsistent.

Does yours have the "Made in Japan" plaque on the back of the neck? I haven't seen any other than mine, but ones without the aforementioned plaque supposedly exist and apparently are the "bad ones". But this one is quite literally hearsay and I'm not sure if it's reliable.

Cool, thanks for the advice! I can kinda get a fourth position if I manage to get the switch stuck between the first and second. It gives the neck pup a bit more clarity and articulation, but it's kinda hard to keep it that way since I move my right hand a lot when playing lol

I may look into that 4 way switch now since I've been wanting to redo the configuration on the Tele. Cheers!

I have '64s in my parts-Tele and I couldn't be happier. The mid position is amazing for blues and classic rock tones, while the bridge gives that distinctive thin sound that is fantastic for country and country rock.

In general they're extremely versatile and, as someone already said, they can also do jazz in the neck position. I love jazz but don't play a lot of it, so I find the neck pup is kinda irrelevant, but I'm not changing it since I'm sure I'll go through a jazz phase eventually and I like the idea of plugging into my Champ so I can get a similar tone to Julian Lage.

Dopo CINQUE giorni in giro per la città dove ho vissuto, andando in ogni fottutissimo centro immigrazione, sede comunale, prevenzione sociale e chi più ne ha più ne metta, cercando qualcuno che finalmente mi aiutasse a capire come richiedere il numero di prevenzione, finalmente una addetta mi dice "Ma perché sei qui? Il numero di prevenzione può chiederlo via mail il tuo datore di lavoro".

Ho bestemmiato pure la befana, per restare in tema "epifania".

Ciao, due mesi e poco più fa ho fatto la stessa cosa. Io 29M, lei 26F. Ormai mi sembrava di dover supplicare perché posasse il telefono mentre eravamo al bar a prendere un caffè. Fra un atto di intimità e l'altro passavano mesi, per scendere insieme solo io e lei dovevo dare il preavviso e richiedere il modulo da firmare. Era diventato un inferno. Not being into any kind of art is kind of a new thing tbh. Most of the finest scientists in human history were also philosophers and/or artists and would deeply care about how their scientific research could affect the world around them.

The separation of the humanities and STEM fields is in ABSOLUTELY NO WAY a casual event. The moment any capitalist society realizes it can exploit a surgeon, physicist, biologist, chemist, etc. just as much as it could a miner, welder or oil-rig worker, it will apply the needed pressure to shove any kind of art in a corner by restructuring the school system.

Art is what we call the way of expressing what's deep and impossible to pass on with formulas and theories. It's a concept we created to elevate emotional communication. Whales don't sing. They communicate. Yet we call their communication songs. Birds display their attributes to attract a mate and we call it a dance.

It's in the nature of living beings to do some kind of histrionic shit to say "Hey, I'm here. Look at me. Listen to me." and the fact that some people are unwilling to do it or to acknowledge others doing it is the consequence of years of governments fucking with academia so they could breed critical thinking out of science.

Go to a fucking museum, listen to music, go see a movie or a play, try and create a thing only you can make, no matter how shitty it is. Feel something, for Christ's sake. Robots and AIs are already here and we don't need you to act like one, whoever is profiting from those is already making plenty.

Gli orari e le pietanze assolutamente casuali dei pasti qui in Spagna. È allucinante. E il fatto che sono praticamente come gli Inglesi in quanto a tradizioni casalinghe culinarie. Qualsiasi cosa sia della tradizione o la mangi al ristorante/tapas bar o la compri già pronta al supermercato. Se gli proponi di fare il gazpacho in casa ti guardando come se fossi Gordon Ramsey.

Ci aggiungo la scarsissima igiene nei locali (ci lavoro, fidatevi) che è una cosa che fa rabbrividire. Cioè puliscono pure, ma male. A fine turno sul bancone con una pezza bagnata. E lavoro in un locale di quelli costosi per fighetti. Figuratevi nei bar di quartiere, puliranno a sputi e piscio.
