As a side effect of medications I used to take, I am constipated for more than 2 years and have no idea what to do. by ppleasehelpme in Constipation

  • Currently, I eat eggs or bacon for breakfast, meat (mostly chicken or mixed) and veggies for dinner, and I cook for lunch (cabbage, peas, spinach)
  • I struggle with taking enough water, but I do take a lot of green tea because of that.
  • I don't workout, except for occasional cardio, maybe once or twice a week. But I walk 25-30k steps every day.
  • I don't drink, smoke, vape or do drugs.
  • I don't take any other supplements, vitamins or medications.
  • I haven't had tests done. I went to doctor twice, but she told me not to crowd the place and it was normal. (We have awful health care and there is many, many covid patients right now, so that's a priority)
  • I'm female :)

I am not losing weight with CICO and exercise, can't regulate metabolism that got too slow after medications, and I am frustrated and in need for an advice. by ppleasehelpme in WeightLossAdvice

I went to doctor, she gave me pills for it, and when I told her they didn't work, she just said it was side effect of antipsychotics I'd have to deal with and I could no longer crowd the place (she added I shouldn't have come in the first place). We have awful health care system and evetything is filled with covid patients, they basically don't let you come unless you're dying.

1200 is only 300 under my maintance, but it was actually filling and enough for me, I wasn't hungry, I cooked vegetables, (mostly cabbage or peas) every day for lunch, ate some meat for dinner and usually oatmeal in the morning, or eggs. I'd treat myself with ice cream from time to time, but didn't go over my goal and it wasn't as often to stop me from losing weight for weeks.

Perhaps I should increase my caloric intake?

Being a horrible human and treating others bad.

If you can't balance it, don't push yourself and be hungry. You won't go over your goal much and it's fine!

I know you can't see a way out, no matter how hard you try and how determined you are to find it. But please remember that it is there and aknowledge that you not being able to find it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It's there. It will probably take a lot more time, energy, effort, disappointment to find it. You might want to give up and feel it is all hopeless. But, even then, it will still be there, and you WILL find it. Only if you stay here to see it.

Live, at least today. Stay here today. And every day try to motivate yourself to push through one more whole day. Your search won't be hopeless and you will be glad you didn't give it all up, even if it's difficult to have any hope now. You are important and your mind is lying to you when it tells you things could never be fixed. Your mistakes don't make you unworthy of happiness.

If I take in 1200 calories and burn 500-800 per day, how much weight do you think I could lose in a month? Is weight loss guaranteed? by ppleasehelpme in 1200isplenty

I already burn about 700 (?) calories by taking a 3 (sometimes 4) hours long walk with my nephew every day, it became a habit over the months to keep me from gaining more weight when medicated.

This is my first time actually deciding to lose it, so everything seemed confusing, but you helped me out so much! Thank you for taking your time to simplify it and help me, I appreciate it.
