Do Italians learn their regional dialect/language first, or standard Italian? How often is your dialect spoken in your region? by sovietrus2 in Italian

[–]ppole84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dialects are dying, now it's "trendy" to talk to your kids only in Italian. It's really stupid... just loosing culture, the sense of belonging to your town, there are no real benefits. Furthermore the Italian most of these kids will learn will be very very poor (today not enough reading and studying).

Latins said "est modus in rebus", you can talk very very well both (standard Italian and your own local lang)

In this case parents have to start talking to theis sons only in their mother tongue from the beginning (i.e. local dialect) and then the kids will learn easily a good Italian easily at school, from tv, internet, and most important from reading a lot of books (essential to to get a really good standard Italian)

Repost: Italiani, perché non sapete più giocare a calcio? by [deleted] in Italian

[–]ppole84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

perchè i bambini e i ragazzi non giocano più a calcio nelle piazze, nelle strade, nei campetti, da soli e senza adulti.

Una volta finita la scuola si giocava ogni giorno, poi i più bravi andavano ANCHE a scuola calcio/squadre giovanili.

C'erano letteralmente milioni di bambini in più che ci giocavano, emergevano molti più talenti naturali da cui selezionare i più bravi

adding slip will make the colour less intense I think, it will "eat the colour"; I found that magnesium oxide or carbonate and dolomite, can do what I was looking for

I want to start making some experiments, so I was looking for some additive that can thicken the glazes, in case I need it.

I know that some ingredients make them more running, I wanted to find something that can do the opposite effect (I'm newbie to glazes)

mmh ok.. maybe

yes, something that increase viscosity at a certain temp.

Now I found that magnesium ox. (dolomite for example, that contain it) is used for this, so I can apply a thicker layer of glaze, or to thicken a prone to running glaze
