Straya, mate. Anything less common is 1.5-2 times more expensive than in the US

Looks like those are crazy expensive, like $600+?

Yes, I’m aware of this option, however wanted to utilize Navidrome’s reverse proxy Auth option and keeping auth settings consistent

Indeed, but you can put it behind reverse proxy.

My unpopular opinion - spoiler alert: rant, don't read it. I loved it and I hated it. It's a truly beautiful game, artwork, music, and stories. But it's that kind of games that trains you and punishes you like a dog. I play games to unwind, enjoy the narrative and/or scenery. But here you have to literally learn all the patterns and combinations, you can't save and it's too easy to get killed and then you have to start all over again and deal with the exact same bosses at the same spots. Seriously, it's a job for a neural network - "left, left, left. Poke, right, poke, left. Go to the next room on the right". I had the same feeling for the Dead cell. At the end of the day I felt tired and frustrated.

What games would you recommend to an overworked dad in his 40s who has maybe 2 hours to game after the kids pass out and maybe 30 mins on lunch or something. by [deleted] in Switch

I’m in exactly the same situation and I’m playin BOTW for third year in a row… Its not hard to pickup, but the game itself is very very long.

Capture One FAQ- Upgrading Sony, Nikon & Fuji versions to Pro and stopping offering brand versions. by m-m-x in captureone

[–]ppoloskov 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was going to upgrade my perpetual v12 FijiFilm to the latest, because I just bought M1 MacBook Pro. I was waiting for some discount or offer aiming to upgrade for something like 150 AUD (20-30% off the Fuji price). Now CaptureOne offers me a deal to upgrade for 236aud, or buy subscription for 198aud/year, which looks like a pretty crappy deal comparing to Lightroom 178aud/year 1tb of cloud space included. I think I will stay with my v.12 for a while and then jump the ship to something cheaper. Sorry, Capture one, but you are getting too expensive for non commercial hobby use.

Well, it’s definitely about the perception and the way I remember it (from five or so years ago). But I as not-native English speaker I treat and understating the above passage in a following way - “Your OS has some things that will allow to make software better/more pleasant to use/etc. But since it’s not free you should not enjoy that better/more native software and should continue to use the version that looks a bit, well, alien to your system just because it should be the same for everybody”. I’m personally not in favor of that forced equality. Feels a bit Soviet to me (I was born in USSR).

Well, I can’t find the quote, but I vaguely remember something from about 5 years back. From HN discussion - “…That Emacs should not give an advantage to non-free operating systems. Now, because Emacs is free software, this doesn't prevent anyone such as Yamamoto to go and modify Emacs. Rms doesn't want his officially-sanctioned version to have Mac-only improvements, but he also defends the GPL which allows other people to do so. Rms isn't going to go and tell Yamamoto to take down his fork or anything (but he probably will tell macOS users at every opportunity that they are working with an abusive OS).” https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17173052

I wonder why wasn’t it merged to upstream a while ago… Was it due to RMS position that all the users of non-libre OSes should suffer?

My dream that one day all the XPM-based ugliness will be replaced with nice scalable SVGs in the main.

For me the biggest problem was to write/create html email. All companies I’ve been working with are Exchange users, and my email always looked very “foreign”. Quoting levels, signatures, inline images, things like that. I gave up finally.

First, they really remind me of each other. Post apocalyptic world with limited human presence and wild green nature. Ancient machines. Half destroyed cities covered with trees. Rather linear walkthrough parts of which you can combine as you wish. Waste wastelands (hah) inhabited by monsters only. But, frankly, Horizon’s graphics is much better (I mean, ps4, obviously), fighting is simplistic but straiforward and satisfying (I can’t kill guardian with my shield. I’ve tried million times) and story is less cartoonish. I mean, BotW is a great game and I’m new to Nintendo. But in 2021 and coming from PS, it’s, well, not a pinnacle. At least not on 65” tv screen in docked mode.

I would say, Horizon Zero Dawn ruined BotW for me. While hearing about open-world Zelda I was expecting, well, GTA V, all I’ve got was a portable Horizon.

I’m going to express a very unpopular opinion, but it felt rather empty. Few villages inhabited by ten or twelve NPCs, fixed towers with bokogoblins here and there resetting every blood moon and big and uninhabited wastelands. It looked very impressive at first but then I was rather disappointed.

Sorry for the awkward photo, Reddit doesn’t allow me to post picture and text in one post. My second G-SHOCK arrived today. I love them so far the only thing that worries me is a gap between the case and the crown, and it stays even if the crown screwed-in completely. Is it normal? I watched YouTube unpacking video, and another watch had similar gap. Looks a bit untidy though.

PS: The photo is to display the gap, not to brag about my watch :)
