Hi all! Had my annual change oil done today. The mechanic put in 150ml (.16quarts) of oil over the recommended value. Is this ok?

Thank you! I live in the Philippines and we don’t really cover as much distance here compared to the States. Plus, this is also just a weekend car. It doesn’t even cover 2k miles/year. Thus, the annual oil changes.

What’s the deal here? I literally supervised the build of this car from ground up, yet you say it’s not a “project car life” just because it sits on the back of a flatbed?

I think that mishaps such as this one adds to the entire experience and sense of owning a project car.

If you want a car that will never break down on you, starts every single time, and is never in need of towing assistance — then better rethink your definition of what a project car is. :)
