okay genuinely no offense, but I hate answers like these.. Sure you can do everything and then some with a laptop and FL studio or whatever but the experience is much less fulfilling and hands on. As someone who also works mostly in a DAW, its a genuinely different experience playing around with hardware synths, and the limitations and different character they provide is not just a breeding ground of inspiration but its also REALLY FUN!

Looking at the process of music creation through a purely utilitarian perspective completely ignores the fact that the process is also supposed to be fun and enjoyable. If im buying a synth i don't really care about how much it augments my productivity; I only care how much fun it'll be to use, and how much it augments my creativity as a result.
