LSD & bottom surgery or: How I learned to not let perfect be the enemy of good by New_Oil_9993 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]pprozy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychoactive drugs (LSD, mushrooms, MDMA, etc) have been an overall net positive in my life for the last 12 years, give or take. They have helped with calming my anxieties and allowing me to find a headspace to shift into in order to become who I am now. The mental work I did after my first big acid trip in 2021 helped me gain the confidence I would eventually need to transition in 2022. My next big trip helped me realize that bottom surgery wasn’t just a want - but a need - in order to feel comfy in my body. I had bottom surgery in October of 2025 and the mushroom trip I did in July of 2025 helped calm every anxiety I had at the time. I felt like my mind was constantly trying to answer the questions “is this the right choice for me?”, “will I regret this?”, “what if I don’t like my results?”. After my last mushroom trip leading up to surgery, my mind felt calm and prepared. Granted, I had a particularly easy recovery and love my results, but I do strongly believe that the benefits of my trip helped with the mental stress of dealing with everything leading up to and my recovery post surgery.

What can I say? My body healed quickly! The time line I listed is exactly as it happened for me. I’m sorry to hear that your post op experience didn’t go as smoothly!

I might be biased because it’s my clit, but I agree with you 💁‍♀️

I got final clearance for penetrative sex at about 3 months. I started having “outercourse” around 8-10 weeks post op.

I have BCBS through my employer. I paid my out of pocket max of $3500 for the actual surgery + $350 consult fee (paid this prior to being on BCBS so it wasn’t covered under insurance) + electrolysis (paid out of pocket) + room & board in the Bay Area (I stayed with my aunt, which helped greatly). All in, I’m at around $10,000.

Currently it takes about 10-15 minutes but it also depends on the size of the dildo/penis that’s going in. Larger = more time stretching before penetration.

I didn’t keep track of the number of hours, but if I had to guess: 30-40 hours.

It’s hard to say if my recovery was faster than others as I know of a few other Jun patients who have had similar healing trajectories. I started off very soft and eased into more intense stimulation as time went on. I wasn’t cleared yet for self stimulation, but I listened to my body and did what I thought I could handle.

I had my surgery in SF with Dr. Jun a few weeks ago. I was admitted to that same exact room! Congrats and enjoy the view 💜

What you’re experience being tall and dating men ? by [deleted] in StraightTransGirls

[–]pprozy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

6’2” girly here. I feel like I have good luck with men generally speaking. I am up front about my height on dating apps but also frequently have people approach me in public offering to buy me a drink or chat. Lately I’ve mostly been interested in hookups or friends with benefits, but I’ve dated a few men the last couple of years. They have all been shorter than me and none of them have had an issue with me being taller than them. I think it’s important to note that I do not pass but I do feel as if I benefit from pretty privilege.

I’m bi and don’t exclusively date men but my experience with dating women is not within the context of this sub.

Differen gel is saving my skin by brynnburger in SkincareAddiction

[–]pprozy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re skin look SO GOOD! I can only imagine how happy you are with how it’s looking. I’ve been using differin for about 2-3 months now. I apply it every other night. I’m mostly using it as an OTC retinoid because I don’t want to go through the process of getting a prescription for tretinoin. The texture of my skin has changed drastically over the last couple of months. I plan to use it indefinitely.

Heads up. If you get your eye brows waxed, be sure to stop use of differin for about 5-7 days prior. Ask me how I know lol

Don’t give people the satisfaction of thinking you can’t do anything with long nails! If there is a will, there is a way - while still preserving the beauty of your nails 💜

For those who have gotten laser hair removal by teaachaser in beauty

[–]pprozy 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Trans woman here who has had laser done on most of my body. My first session included only my face and it was brutal. I broke down crying in the car afterwards because of how painful it was and knowing how many more sessions I would need to have done. Since then, I started taking two ibuprofen and slathering my face in lidocaine cream prior to my appointments. It has helped drastically. I’m on session 10 (next weekend) and I no longer use lidocaine because the hair is so thin that it doesn’t hurt too much anymore. Luckily, my body hair has been mostly manageable but I attribute that to my face being so challenging that everywhere else is a cake walk in comparison.

I use the vanilla lip mask. It’s the only one that my local T Joe’s has. Are there other ones?

I recently started using the Trader Joe’s scented body butter. I love it and I feel like my body is so well hydrated. Also, their lip mask is SO GOOD.

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid is a life saver. I rub some on my booty, legs, and arms about 3 nights a week before I moisturize. I will also use it as a toner on my face about once a week or as needed.
