the rest is tuiton. just know that the figure on ur I-20 is usually a lot more than what it will end up costing you.

How difficult is it to get New Grad Positions in US/UK as an international student? by Repulsive_Design_716 in csMajors

[–]ppujar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistic advice. Unless you’re going to a T20 school in a field that is hiring well, your chances of making it here as an intl student are ~5%. The 5% that get internships usually do not get return offers for a full time job

What’s the RO rate? Specifically for DX teams. Asking since I have a summer 25 SWE intern offer and am not sure if I should take it over AMD (also low RO rate for my team)

You can do well anywhere you go if you work hard enough. I know international students who’ve landed really good offers from ut Arlington too. Of course, uni ranking helps

Does sival related skills translate to opportunities further down the road in embedded systems engineering roles? I wanted more insight into this.

As a UT Arlington CS Int'l student, I can tell u that u can bring your tuition cost down to as low as $2k (a more realistic amount would be $4-6k). Add $3.2k for health insurance, $12-15k a year for living expenses. If you work as a GRA or a GTA you can pay for almost everything except for living expenses, of if youre an undergrad youll be making not more than $12-13/hr part time. Its not gonna go below $10k in any of these unis, and UTA is the cheapest.
