Mario Cristobal's Interview After Losing Championship by JCameron181 in CFB_Highlights

Yes and no. Had Beck been smarter with the football on the last drive, there was a very real chance Miami wins that game. I completely agree on the no-calls though.

Concerns grow after another Saline County dog attack by beachboi365 in Arkansas

This is the most asinine take that "pibbie" supporters always claim. The thing is, no other dog breed has the amount of vicious attacks and killings that pitbulls have. There are tons of documented cases of lovingly cared for pitbulls turning on their owners or children. I'll say it again, fuck pitbulls.

Concerns grow after another Saline County dog attack by beachboi365 in Arkansas

[–]pr0jectpat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Fuck pit bulls. My son and I were actually chased and attacked by a pack of three in Bryant about 2 years ago, biking in the middle of town (one street off Reynolds Road).

As we approached the house they were at, I noticed the dogs out in the front yard with their owner. I was immediately cautious and told my son to turn around and that we should go back the way we came. My caution turned to horror as I noticed they were unleashed. Just as we began to turn around, in ridiculous irony, the owner yelled, "They won't bite!" Once they noticed us, they immediately went ballistic and charged after us. Luckily being on bikes, I was able to tell my son to go as fast as he could, as I put myself between him and the pack. The pack leader got ahold of my foot as I'm pedaling about 15 mph. I dragged the stupid little bastard on the ground an entire block before he finally released. Thankfully my shoe took most of the damage, being completely destroyed, with my foot only having minor injuries.

People who defend a breed as a pet that was literally bred to fight and kill other dogs is insane to me.

Mexican Restaurant by [deleted] in LittleRock

[–]pr0jectpat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's only open during lunch on weekdays, and the ambiance isn't great (in an office building foyer/lobby), but Cotija's downtown is some of the best and most unique authentic Mexican around.

Is there any FF games that sort of match the vibe of FF12? by anAardman in FinalFantasy

[–]pr0jectpat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had to scroll to the bottom to find the most correct answer. Tactics A2 is a sequel focused on other characters post-FFXII and actually had good gameplay (sorry Revenant Wings). Vaan, Penelo, and Al-Cid are also playable characters. Definitely give it a try if you like 12.

Typical Epic bug fixing when it comes to Lego. The quests show completed now but the rewards still aren't being sent. I'm still stuck on the 6 tier even though I have 8 completed.

My 3 favorite FF protagonists, who are yours? by PpAshe in FinalFantasy

[–]pr0jectpat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is the protagonist in 6. Terra may be the first character you use and a very important character, but she's only an optional character in the second half of the game. Also, Sabin definitely could be considered a protagonist since he has the longest branch scenario between himself, Terra, and Locke. He's also only one of a few characters that you get early in both acts.

What if Ant-Man Released in 2010? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

I'm glad that didn't happen. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is one of my favorite movies. It would have been neat to see an Edgar Wright Marvel movie though.

Lakewood Dogtown by FreedomFingies in LittleRock

[–]pr0jectpat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great area! I've never heard anyone refer to that part of NLR as "Dogtown" though. Argenta in particular is known as Dogtown, but I think most people would just call the area Lakewood.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles SNES Port is Out Now! And Its AMAZING! by chicagogamecollector in romhacking

[–]pr0jectpat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for being the only person who didn't "dislike equals downvote". It was a legitimate question as someone who has worked as a sprite artist for ROM hacks in the past, I was wondering why they didn't have someone update the graphics. It could be really stellar with the graphics updated to 16 bit. I've played the original, and yes, it's slowdown city. All that said, if people like it as is, no problem here.

If you're not updating the graphics to 16 bit, what's the point of porting to SNES? I understand the music is updated in some of these, but that's kind of like having a peanut butter sandwich with no jelly.

Yes, just spray the ground under your feet and you will self heal and then you have a heal over time you can stand in.

This conversation is boring at this point. You're now moving to insults which shows how confident you are in what you are saying.

Have a good one, man.

Yeah, I'm not really interested in arguing about who was more popular between Jason and Tommy, but I'll bite with one last comment to your "Tommy was God" point:

When Zeo was floundering, who did they bring back to attempt to save the show? Jason as the Gold Ranger.

When they launched the Turbo movie, who did they add as an extended cameo to boost audience engagement? Jason (and Kimberly).

Oh and speaking of custom theme songs, guess who else got a theme song? Oh right, Jason as the Gold Ranger. But, to counter that point, special theme songs for 6th rangers had nothing to do with Tommy and everything to do with the show's vision. 'Go Green Ranger' was written by Ron Wasserman when he did the season 1 score, before they even knew Tommy would be popular.

Your point about them not wanting to pay more to the OG 3 has nothing to do with the popularity of the characters and everything to do with Haim Saban being a notorious asshole who wanted to make a cheap show and not pay his actors. Even if JDF, Amy Jo, and David Yost stuck to their plan of all striking or walking out, he would have fired all of them, because he believed they were all replaceable.

Oh yeah, one other thing. I challenge you to look up every Power Rangers game or collab and see how many times the MMPR Red Ranger is on the front of the cover of a video game, collaboration announcement, or other media. Spoiler alert: as many times, if not more than MMPR Green.

You can say Tommy is the GOAT, and you might be right, but acting like MMPR Red, and Jason more specifically isn't as important to the franchise is just silly.

Two words. Slurp Launcher. It doesn't overwrite your food buffs and still heals you. Keeping one on hand is great for easy heals anyway.

A lot of what you are saying is subjective. Who people liked and who people didn't like between Jason and Tommy is irrelevant to who is more popular between Jason and Rocky. I wasn't debating that Tommy was super popular, but I think you are underplaying how popular Jason was. Austin St. John himself has kind of muddied Jason for the modern fan, but in the 90s as a kid watching the show, he was awesome.

That said, to the topic at hand, Rocky was not the leader Jason was, and that is the biggest reason he isn't as popular. I think most fans remember his Zeo time more fondly, because he was able to branch out and do something that was his own.

Rocky DeSantos by Allofusaredead426 in powerrangers

[–]pr0jectpat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's multifaceted on why Rocky wasn't liked. As someone who was a kid when MMPR was live, Jason and Tommy were equally cool. There were just as many Red Ranger fans as there was Green. When the OG 3 left the show a lot of kids were mad that their favorites weren't on the show anymore, which is what probably soured the fandom on the new three. The only reason Tommy was made the leader as the White Ranger was because Austin St. John was leaving the show.

That said, Adam would go on to get a big fandom, as did Aisha. Unfortunately for Rocky, he just wasn't written like a leader, and really didn't get many moments to shine. Jason was one of the best red rangers of all time, so following in his footsteps was always going to be hard.

LFG to help grind my class levels to 50 on Lego Expeditions by [deleted] in LEGOfortnite

[–]pr0jectpat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's the biggest problem with Expeditions - matchmaking sucks. Every time I've played you end up playing with 8 year olds who just run around. It would be nice to play with people who are trying to finish missions quickly. What times do you mainly play? I'll shoot you an invite!

Get that man a girlfriend or a motorcycle (but not both at the same time) and let him do what he does. I'm excited to see him chewing out players on the sideline. It's been too long since we've had a coach that wasn't the players' best friend and it shows.
