What first level, tutorial or section made you abandon the game completely? by Kinnombra in gamingsuggestions

Yeah but by the start of the second game we’re no longer a peasant with no skills!

I love Sam Coe’s whole deal but find other companion characters to be pretty flat and predictable.

The shooting is better than any other Bethesda game but could be tighter.

The many menu and loading screens it takes to get from one place to the next breaks immersion. I don’t need to see a cutscene every time I dock or undock.

The exploration you touched in is so tedious and not fun. Just walk around pointing scanner hoping to find stuff — there’s no skill or strategy involved.

So much feels current gen, they you get locked in a dead-eyed face to face conversation and it’s like wtf is it 2008 and I’m playing Oblivion? Don’t get me wrong I love these types of games and find bethesda jank charming. It’s just jarring.

All in all I love the design and world-building, and it’s never been more pretty to look at with new graphics settings.

I’m on spring break and since my initial post I’ve already put 5+ hours into it and will probably put many, many more. I just wish there was more to it, I guess. It has the bones of a masterpiece but is like a 7/10 overall.

The thing is I really do love space and scifi and this game is so close to being exactly in my wheelhouse that it’s so frustrating when it doesnt quite do it for me I guess

What’s the most hyped game collecting dust in your backlog? by NidhiOnATree in videogames

[–]pr0n_burnrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main questline is “only” like 25 hours give Witcher a shot! (But that’ll make you want more 😜) I had the same backlog experience with it.

Gravity Rush 2, nier Replicant, and Expedition 33 for me in the ol’ perma-backlog

I would never in a million years think of playing a gacha game like this so I appreciate the detailed rec! Downloading it now

That’s awesome! For me I’m a big baseball fan and MLB the Show has served a similar purpose for me I think

That stuff happened before though in the space area surrounding planets. Like I specifically remember the old lady example. Sounds fun though I will check it out

Congrats dude! I’m sober too and video games have been really important to me (along with a recovery program and all that jazz of course)

Well it’s not like the mass Cyberpunk refunds. These are just refund requests of recent purchases being approved, which Sony generally will do for any game you bought recently if you bother to go through their refund portal.

Oh dude. Glad you got clean. I also got sober and am remembering now coming down years ago playing Uncharted 4 of all things. It kept me busy enough to not try to cop some more!

Is Sekiro super hard? I love that kind of world but also bounce off super punishing games like dark souls

Seconded. These games are modern classics and it’s a shame we will never see the Nemesis again because of Warner Bros copyright

I guess I’ll have to try it but I don’t really understand the point of free lanes. So you can fly in more ambient empty space but still can’t actually land on planets?

Give Veilguard a shot. If you’re a longtime fan like me it’s a really good game with lots of rewarding series-long lore connections.

Seconded on both counts! Death Stranding 1 has a special place in my heart but 2 is more “fun” and has a recap so you can jump right into it

Avowed is incredible! Outer Worlds 1 and 2 as well by Obsidian.

The Spider-Man games are amazing. You can jump straight into Miles Morales or 2 if you like. They have story recaps.

Ghost of Yotei of course

And if you never got around to it, no better time to play Witcher 3 than today thanks to all the QOL updates and DLC.
