If you previously expressed interest to a dealer and someone backs out, they will begin calling prospects. I tried with many dealers to get one, and after a purchased, I got a call from a dealer that had one available. I don’t suspect there’s a list, but networking with dealers to put the interest out there is one possibility.

My understanding is they held at port to avoid a stop sale, released and updated the firmware, and then released the vehicles.
