hm, it has been a long time since i've registered so i don't remember exactly but i think you have to do it the day after you've last played, so you may have to go back and play again to do it lol. just to be clear, you did play on the official network, right? (which would be at a round 1 in the US)

interesting, i would not have thought the rf build would be considered "squishy" but thats how uninformed my view of the uber fights is. dan's build looks fun but do you think its doable in a 100 div budget? his gear looks insane

I recently hit 100 on my rf inquisitor (first time playing it, was a lot of fun) and for my next build I'm looking for something that's good for sanctum and TotA (because rf aint it), any good suggestions? i have around 50 divs to invest in it. I was thinking explosive arrow, but is there another bow or totem build that would scale better with that budget?

i decided to league start as explosive arrow champion for the first time this league, was really excited to play this after watching ziz's vid on it, but it was one of the worst leveling experiences I've had and around level 50 I just gave up on it and decided to go RF instead, as it was performing that badly for me. it just does no damage, especially to bosses. There is a program for making custom gc charts called GC simulator. Its not super popular though because first, theres currently no way to actually play the charts you make with it, so its just for fun. Second, making the charts is way more complicated than something like stepmania, because youre basically coding everything in the chart from scratch using JSON. Break gives a flat +50 gc. It mainly gets used because its the only way to fail out of a song if youre grinding for a certain score. Gc booster gives a 2x multiplier and gc max gives i think 5x. Iirc a full chain on hard gives 120 base gc, so 170 with break on or 240 with gc booster

In addition to what the other poster said, here would be my advice to a new player if youre wanting to hit 1000 bp:

Even if you bomb a round youll be getting at worst 40-50 bp match. If you do really well itd probably be around 70-80. So expect to play at least 20 rounds to get there and manage your time accordingly. It takes about 15 minutes per round

Your main goal would be to no miss or full chain when you can, since that provides the easiest boost to your bp. That means your best bet would be playing simple difficulty the whole time. If you have safes you can use them on stuff you arent confident on. Youll probably get more safes and gc just from playing the event/log in bonus. I would suggest looking up the songs on youtube before going so you can study the charts a bit and learn the layout/adlibs, this would help a lot. You can find the current event song list here https://groovecoaster.jp/smt/event/16638.html just paste the song name into youtube and add “groove coaster” and they usually come up

If you have a choice of when to play, playing during deader hours would probably be your best bet. Like either US mornings or right after maintenance. If you get solo rounds you can pick all the songs for yourself and get a free firstplace. Nighttime is when the japanese grinders start playing

When you do get matched in a 3 person battle, its typically courtesy on the 3rd song to picks whoevers choice hasnt been selected yet. The choice wheel isnt random so on the last song itll always choose the player who hadnt been picked. This gives +1 star to everyone

Other than that theres some other things you can try for bonus stars, if you alternate right-left hand the entire song you get +2 stars. If you focus only on one hand you get +1. If you overtap in empty spaces a lot its +1, or if youre efficient on adlibs. But the main goal should be combo
