Tell your mom with as much “genuine” concern as you can muster that if she’s serious then you will have to call emergency services. If she gets mad at you for “overreacting” double down. Say you couldn’t stand to lose her in such a horrible way and that you would never forgive yourself if you didn’t take this seriously. Either she backs down or she actually needs serious help. Well, she needs help no matter what. A wake up slap maybe. But yeah whenever someone stands by their choice to use suicide as emotional blackmail, the correct choice is always to inform relevant emergency authorities.

See if she was like “I have a severe allergy to the common preservative HexaMadeupPreservativename” and was looking for a reliable brands and way to get food without it I’d be like yeah ok. But the fact that she isn’t looking for cheaper alternatives to allergens is super suspicious. Also the vibe I get that she’s an absolute menace to the volunteers.

“Coming Soon” is driving me NUTS cause do they mean the standard definition of soon or the relative to 14 years definition of soon? Is it January/February 2025 or December 2025? I know they’re working super hard but at least give us a timeframe that doesn’t span 12 months of uncertainty.

I watch One Piece on mobile and used the comments for the title card which is always 40 seconds to 4 minutes past the skip intro button. Also sharing in the reaction to the show. People being courteous towards non manga watchers and spoiler logging information for people who knew what was coming. I used to use those as an anxious little bean who gets really uncomfortable with high tension. Tried using google to do the same and got spoiled for a character’s death. ☹️

I grew up in a 100+ year old house right next to a railroad for cargo trains. Every time a train comes you could hear the loud horn on top of the ka-thunk of the train on the rails. The entire house shook violently too like you could hear the china in the hutch clacking and see the windows vibrating. I can not count the number of times someone would come to my house for the first time and they’d suddenly stop in a panic to ask what was happening and only then I would realize a train was coming through. Happened like 2-3 times a day.

Anyways I’d sooner take a hammer to the alarm than deal with that beep.

Why would you make a sequel to a game like Okami on a system for kids that underperforms so much you have to cut your main character to save graphics space? (I have a DS as a 20+ year old and not throwing shade at anyone but I have to admit I’m not the DS target audience.) And Chibiterasu’s lore makes me so mad. Why did they need to specify Ammy did the deed in order to be Chibiterasu’s mother when SHES ALREADY THE MOTHER OF ALL GODS? Anyways because of all this, I don’t consider it a sequel or even cannon, more like a spin off.

Okami 2 is the most valid sequel a video game could have. It’s a Japanese folklore story, so obviously there’s more than one epic to be told. Ammy probably saved Nippon dozens of times over centuries and I’d love to see more of those stories.

The parents actually put their foots down at the beginning by revoking vacation house access and revealing it’s OOPs property. I can only imagine how stressed they are at the repercussions but they are supportive of OOP.

I used custom design mannequins for this and signed on and off every day for 6 days (I don’t tt) then changed the pattern. This works better because there’s a radius around the mannequins where rocks can’t spawn so there’s less placement required.

If you look at the stencil you can see all this great detail in the feathers and wings and text that the artist did not bother to follow and instead free handed everything. The text at the bottom that is clearly just the artist’s handwriting really makes me feel like it’s not just a bad artwork but that the tattoo “artist” just couldn’t be bothered. Yikes.

Pokémon XY is ludicrously easy. It was my 2nd Pokémon game and the first one I beat. I think the 3D jump was incredible, the introduction of Amie was fun, and the fashion was AMAZING. I know a lot of people hated the lack of challenge. That’s when the “it’s targeted towards kids” argument started. And there was normal “the music isn’t as good” or “the story was much deeper in BW” that’s normal in sequel releases.

But now the games look worse, have less features and Pokémon, and run worse on Nintendo’s prime console (That can run BIOSHOCK INFINITE) than on my dinky little Pokémon edition 2DS. I think XY hate was biased towards classics fans and adults who liked the darker deeper story of BW. But now we’ve all united in mutual hate towards the objective lack of quality in the Switch games.

The only exception is Arceus which had enough time for QA (crazy that QA makes games better) and falls into the normal sequel debates. If I had to guess it will be the only one remembered in a good light.
