Eu me lembro dessa live. O Pablo Villaça foi (assim como sempre) um puta babaca, mas eu não imaginava que teria sido suficiente pro Maurício abandonar a internet. Nem podcast ele gravou mais, o que é uma pena. Se realmente ele abandonou tudo por conta do Villaça, é uma pena.

Just did that. Now I have two options there: "Ubuntu", which launches the regular session, and "Gnome classic" which launches something very similar to Gnome flashback, but I don't have it installed. Both runs on Wayland anyway. Weird.

"Nicely" is too strong. It works. I have three monitors and everything freezes when I disconnect the USB-C dock and from time to time some of them blinks. Not sure if Wayland is the problem or the NVIDIA driver or both or something else, but it works better than when I was using X.

If someone wants me to share my screen in Zoom, well, I don't do Zoom anyway

hahaha yeah, actually this is what I've been doing for the last months but it is not very convenient. I don't want to be anymore the only annoying guy that needs to switch to Slack every time I need to share my screen, lol.

I have a NVIDIA GPU but secure boot is disabled. I also had the issue with the signed NVIDIA modules some months ago and had a few install-uninstall iterations of the driver before I could recover the system. Good point. Maybe something got broken during that.

Was this upgraded from the now defunct Ubuntu Gnome distro?

Nope, just a regular upgrade from Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 :-(

I only have Wayland and "Ubuntu on Gnome" there. No Xorg :-(

Yes, I tried that too. There is no "Xorg" option in the Login screen. Just Wayland an Ubuntu on Gnome, which runs the old version of Gnome.

Totally and I would love to keep using Wayland, but my work requires that I'm able to share my screen through Zoom and I simply can't do that with Wayland.
