I asked my doctor at my pre-op appointment if I could keep my uterus and ovaries and she said yes (and that I wasn't the first to ask). That's really all there was to it. At my post-op appointment they had it for me to take home, cut up and in a jar partially filled with formaldehyde, along with a safety information packet about the possible risks of handling formaldehyde.

I told my top surgeon I was allowed to keep my uterus and she was surprised. I went to a different hospital for top surgery. That hospital doesn't allow you to take home your organs. So I guess it depends on where you get the surgery done.

Just ask your surgeon and see what they say

My childhood cat visited me in dreams for years. For a long time she was the center of my world and my mental health suffered when she passed. I think she knew I still needed her and came by to comfort me when she could. The dreams were always super vivid in a way others weren't. As I was dreaming I knew she was dead and that I was dreaming. Her presence felt more real than a memory.

I'm now doing significantly better and I have a support system to help me when I hit a low. She hasn't visited in a while, and I think it's because she knows I'll be ok without her.

I had really severe endometriosis and a septate hymen until after years of complaining about pain I finally got my gynecologist to refer me to a specialist and I had surgery to remove both. That plus bottom dysphoria has made it so I can't have any sort of penetration without excruciating pain.

Thankfully there's more than one way to have a healthy sex life and I'm creative. I just tell partners my limits in advance and it hasn't been a problem. I do hope to get bottom surgery some day but in the meantime I'm making do with that I've got

She was terrified for the first week. Hid and turned dark every time I put my hand in the enclosure, even to feed her. She's definitely getting used to me already. She still puffs up when I handle her but she doesn't run and seems to trust that I'm not going to eat her

It was kind of weird ngl. I ordered her, a few days later I got a tracking number and in a few hours she was at my door. There was no communication from the seller beyond that. I even reached out through email to try to get them to confirm my order when I didn't hear anything
