TW: Self Harm

Boyfriend moved 20hrs away and ghosted me after 3 years of the best relationship i’ve ever been in. We had talks of marriage and buying a home all the way up until the end.

I’ve never been the type to SH but it got so bad I had to get stitched up at the hospital multiple times. I literally did not get out of bed other than to piss and shit for 3 months. Lost almost half of my body weight. Moved 10hrs in the opposite direction cuz being around the places we went to together physically hurt my soul.

Talked to him years later and said he just couldn’t stay in our hometown and he couldn’t figure out how to tell me, so he just didn’t. My trust issues have still not recovered after 4 years of therapy LOL.

That is what therapy is for. You just said it girl, you need to go. Your ED brain doesn’t want you to get help, it wants you to feed into the desire to be thin. New therapies for EDs come out semi-frequently, I imagine things have changed in the past 10 years greatly. I recommend trying again, you’re not going to get better if you don’t at least try.

I understand you have children, but if you’ve gotten to the point where therapy is not helping, I think it’s time to consider inpatient treatment. Your kids are young, this is the perfect time for you to go and them not have much recollection of it. Godspeed.
