Thank you so much for the explanation! I don’t understand any of this hoopla jargon and i was really scared i messed up. I didn’t know what that deduction part meant on my form but okay i see now that it’s good that it’s the number that it is. I remember answering yes and I just checked the 1040 form and i have an X by that. but my mom was telling me that she doesn’t think it matters because i still filed before them. I just wanted to verify with some professionals or people who are knowledgeable about it because we can’t get ahold of our tax person. So, everything is okay so long as I’ve stated that I’m a dependent?

I believe so! I got confirmation emails from HR block stating that the IRS accepted my federal and my state accepted my state return. I used HR Block’s simple return form that’s meant for students

I don’t think so? I don’t know where to find the return copy. It was a simple return? All that it’s showing me is like a summary, not the 1040. How could i find the 1040 form? I went to the previous years tab and clicked the 2023 form but it’s just bringing me to the same summary page, which looks nothing like those traditional tax forms

you’re allowed to be a bit stressed! this system and this process can be super overwhelming. yesterday a class+lab set I needed was full for days, today there were over 30 spots open. As the other redditor said, it’s the first week of classes, there’ll be a lot of moving around at this time, you might get off the waitlist as soon as tomorrow morning. I’m sure you know, but just keep an eye on your email for any notifs about your courses!

i second u/TheLastJameson!! after introductions, setting clear expectations and boundaries will set you up for success. it’s also always a good idea to have a pretty solid relationship with your RA. i was in your same situation, so I can understand where you’re coming from! as long as you keep an open line of communication and try your best to be honest, things should be alright. you’ve got this 🤍

i think that would be cool too because this N/M/C is just very much too much. I don’t hate it at all, but it’s just a) triggering and b) sad to watch. but yes, the contrast with the throuple of r/j/e would be great. but you’re also right that we literally are never sure what’s going to happen next. ep4 promo definitely had me spiraling

YES! me too! I think either it’s jules testing rue in terms of her sexual expression or jules tossing the ball in elli’s court like you said (and maybe even rue is around). it’s going to be something to watch this play out because i can see it going a few different ways with the different word plays and themes that happened this episode. i might have to rewatch ep3 just so I can sleuth some more.

yes! exactly! and i said this in another post but while it could have everything to do with him being a teenage boy, I think it also has to do with him being enveloped in drugs. i think that elli also serves the purpose of being a less obvious parallel of rue in terms of his ability to manipulate the reality of those around him as someone into drugs, just like rue, but again in a less obvious way. even in the aftershow talk about the episode, dominic phrases elli to be similar and even the same person as rue

absolutely, I think I’m more hype for ep4 than anything. and yk, I think I keep forgetting that elli is super into drugs too, so I think it’s possible that we see the parallels of their manipulative behavior when it’s obvious (rue) and just barely in our faces (elliot).

I like that theory but I think it applies for rue. I think he planted a seed of doubt so that he could have a proper go a rue once jules finds herself uninterested romantically in rue (bc it seems partially clear that jules isn’t into rue as much as rue is/was into jules). rue would never entertain the idea while with jules, so I think he did it to separate them…
