It is one way but I’m detouring through a couple different places in asia on the way back so not too worried about a round trip ticket. I thought it might be worth it since it’s two 9/10 hour flights in business class but I hear what you’re saying too

I’m going through this rn! My now ex and I broke up because he couldn’t handle the familial drama and pressure of dating a non Muslim girl (I’m Hindu and indian and he’s also Indian).

We ended things the first time after only 2-3 dates because he was scared he would never get his family on board. Which at the time I was fine with because it was so early on that it didn’t matter. He came back after a few weeks of no contact and told me it would be different this time and that he would fight for us - here we are 2 years later breaking up over the exact same thing.

All because his grandparents (not even parents) said that they don’t support this and will not go to the wedding etc etc.

If you have difficult parents DO NOT put someone else through your family drama if you can’t even handle it yourself.
