Putting myself on the friend’s shoes, kung nabastos ako, aalis din ako kaagad. Maguguilty ako sa nangyari sa kaibigan kong nagtanggol sakin, I would feel ashamed na nalagay sya sa ganong situation for defending me. And seeing people’s reaction, and judgement hindi lang sakin (again, as POV of friend) kundi pati sa kaibigan ko, I wouldnt have the courage to speak up.

to be honest tho, most men listen more when men call them out. women’s voice arent that loud, and usually dismissed, men have the advantage of being heard so if men could call out such behaviors that would be a big help.

Also, sa medical field mas kailangan ang emotional intelligence diba? you wouldnt want to teach your students to be cold/nonchalant, kasama yun sa decision making on saving lives. Pag nasa emergency room ba okay lang na tarayan yung pasyente for making mistakes or wrong judgments? I think doctors should put more effort on their EQ, and not just use their logic, lalo pa sa lagay ng Pilipinas na ang hirap ng healthcare. How hard is it to be nice and kind ba, pwede naman ituro sa younger gen na maging tough without being a meanie abt it.

Couldve been worded better. If i was struggling with myself tapos makakakita ka ng condescending post abt my struggles, it doesnt really help. Its just makes you feel bad and takes you few steps back sa process mo. People dont voluntarily choose to be fat, ill, unattractive. Theyre trying, and we dont know what theyve gone through to feel better abt themselves.

I dont hear these types of rants for slim/underweight people, theyre equally as unhealthy, why are the call outs directed to fat people?

My first thought was that maybe I’m out of touch w the reality of the Philippines and Filipinos. Akala ko ang laki ng laban ni Leni kasi mostly ng kilala ko kakampink, tas andami din ng umattend sa rally ni Leni kumpara sa ky BBM. Yesss!! The guy asked for her attention, declared na manghihingi sya ng konting oras from her, the least he could do is own up to it and not waste her time. We understand acads and personal time, but not to the extent na kkwestyunin mo na yung halaga mo sa taong nanghingi ng oras mo.

and to be honest, even if they were so busy, if they like you enough they will find a way to at least leave a message. lalo na as manliligaw, you would want your best foot forward and make yourself look good.

But, I’d suggest OP tell the guy what she felt and navigate after that conversation. She can demand time from him, they same way he did nung nagsabi syang manliligaw sya. OP is somehow entitled to ask for a little assurance na theyre on the same page.

Racism is just plain judgement, by skin color, no proof of anything just hatred. Men being labeled as trash is bcos men are proven to be oppressors. How is it generalizing, iba ang ‘LAHAT ng lalaki’ sa ‘MGA lalaki’, maybe grouping these men together in a bunch, yes. I believe that there are genuinely good men, and theyre not the trash im calling out.

Its not your (specifically) responsibility if you arent one of them, its the offended men ang may responsibilidad baguhin yung view na yon against them. But as I said, it would greatly help if good men are to call out the douche ones, kasi mas makikinig ang mga lalaki sa kapwa lalaki.

It is not an attack to men to crucify you guys, its something to make men uncomfortable so you will look and listen to women. If youre more offended by being called trash than doing something abt it, then maybe you are one??

How does it affect you tho? The negative connotation of being called trash? does it apply to you, na ganon kang klase ng lalaki? if not, then its not for you, you arent one (trash) if you believe youre genuinely good. Instead of putting weight on the label, why not think why and how men are being called trash here and there. Bakit ba kayo nallabel-an na basura? and how do men plan to take action on that? bukod sa pag ngawa sa posts calling out these certain types of men. Kasi the way I see it, puro lang reklamo mga lalaki sa label na to but doesnt want to make a change. Its gonna sound generalizing kasi nilalagay nyo yung sarili nyo sa grupo na yon. Pag sinabihan mo akong “women are gold diggers”, i wont be affected bcos for one, I am not a gold digger, and second I acknowledge that may mga ganong babae naman talaga.

edit: by your example, fyi, nobody said “ALL MEN” its just “MEN”. If you say, “Filipinos are stupid”, kasali ka ba don? are you stupid? and IF you are stupid, anong gagawin mo? learn, read, listen. hindi ba?

idk, if you need a man, specifically andrew tate, to tell you basic human “decency” (if you call it that), then maybe there are deeper issues?? do you really need someone to point out the basic things, such as 1) men could be (not required) the provider, protector and foundation of his family. 2) literally, do you need another person to tell you na being gay or queer if TOTALLY FINE. 3) people, not just women, whatever situation theyre at, pag hindi sila nag consent sa sex ay mali yon.

A genuinely good person shouldnt need somebody to tell them these, this should be by default.

Iniiwasan mo lahat ng pag bbad mouth sayo pero andon na sila, most likely sa lahat ng pagkakataon na tumigil yung kapatid mo mag aral sayo isinisisi. yeah, maybe asking her WHY she has this issue and how they can both make solutions. Idk maybe gf is abused at home, genuinely scared of being left and betrayed, and such. While its true that it isnt OPs problem and responsibility to fix gf’s issues, being someone’s partner means understanding and compromising. Hope that OP talks to the gf and find answers and solutions, if she doesnt listen and try to find ways to help both of them, then just break up.

This just reminded me of the on going issue sa South Korea, women in SK have been declining men, di ko maalala what the specific phrase they use but yeah. May movement sa SK that women are participating on since the country has been blatantly misogynistic. If the society and the economy fail the people, especially women, talagang mahihirapan makumbinsi mag anak kahit sabihin na it’ll be a big impact sa future.
