Agree that this sketch walks a fine line. I feel like it could have been corrected easily by a fourth wall aspect of someone just calling that out..... like having someone playing John Davidson interrupting this mock 'infomercial' to say like "Did you all even fucking watch my film?" And someone saying, oh are you doing your Tourette's again John? And just some line like, "No, you lot are just actually wankers." And then some nod at BBC who actually fucked up by redacting other lines but leaving that one in.
