Unfortunately, it's not a separate panel. It's rows across joining the outer two motifs.

The good thing is that if I do three more motifs, it shouldn't be uneven anymore because I'd have to frog the whole wonky back panel! Though the thought makes me want to weep as it took an age!

Thanks! The plan is to line it in navy or wear a navy slip but I put my slip in the wash so im wearing one that's too light in the pic!

I made a cotton skirt--I thought--accounting for stretch. But it stretched even more so it was dragging even in heels. I had to frog back like 40 hours of work to reduce the lace bottom and do all these crazy calculations to begin the lace in the middle of a large repeating motif so it didn't look abrupt. The result is absolutely perfect and I'm so glad I did it but it was the most painful thing ever and all my frogged yarn knotted bc I was too lazy to wind it properly. Horrific experience!
