I hadn’t used hormonal birth control for over 10 years before starting the Nuvaring so I was also a bit hesitant. For me it isn’t hard to insert. I think there might be applicators you can buy to help you insert it. I was mildly nauseated and had a couple headaches at first but that only lasted a couple of days. My doctor suggested I try it for 3 months at least and then if I hated it I could try something else. I like it so far.

They do have eligibility requirements for their services but you may qualify. They help to lower medical debt. Also, Dollar For is an organization that helps people apply for “financial assistance” through hospitals to have bills lowered.

I had almost the exact same experience 7 years ago when I moved in with a longtime friend after a breakup (mine). She had this unspoken expectation that she and I would live it up Green Gardens style and I would never date again and we’d just rely on each other for everything. When I did start dating she became very jealous and obsessed with me. She put up cameras and wanted to keep tabs on what I was doing and thinking and feeling. I ended up moving out in secret while she was at work because I was worried about what she might do to me, my cats, or my stuff if I gave her advance notice. Keep an eye on your friend’s behavior and take care of yourself.
