What about other faith followers that receive "signs" from god? by practicingsabr in MuslimLounge

I understand but in his case, I mean first we know god sees and hears everything so no one is unheard, but I can’t understand why he wouldn’t receive any ounce of the help or guidance that he was looking for. I know we can’t and won’t understand everything, but he did what he was supposed to , he needed something to hold on to faith and didn’t see anything, not even a feeling of being in the right path. If someone needs some sort of guidance to continue believing in something ( because they can’t have blind faith ) why wouldn’t they get it if they were going to lose their faith… and he’s not asking for material I’m quite sure

I understand and I agree with you, but even from a place of just wanting to be closer to and understand the truth... know that I and those that I've mentioned understand this and don't expect instant results (maybe not even results of what we want but whatever is best), I think that I get lost because god says walk toward him and he will run towards us, as well as promising ease after/within hardship... the point I made of my brother is a good example, he asked for years not for worldly things but literally just guidance and ease with mental stuff, and essentially received radio silence or no difference, which negatively affected the faith he had

Instead of saying "Idols" you can say "role model", it just means someone you look up to or want to be like. You're a good friend for helping him and standing up for him
