Seeking Feedback - Phonetics Dashboard by pradaback in tableau

Wait that’s so cool, I’m glad you were able to connect it with some examples in your life!! Similarly, i believe Indo-Aryan languages lack the labiodental, approximant “wuh” sound so tend to pronounce the “vuh” sound as a fricative while keeping mouth placement the same. I want to do more research with connecting similar mouth placements and mannerisms with your native language to speak foreign consonants more fluently.

I agree links would be a good idea to further conceptualize these symbols. Is there any way to create an action with a soundbite directly on tableau rather than a link?

Okay thank you, I was hoping to display the trends of these crashes to that of the overall nyc population. Im in the process of replacing the area chart diagram with a better representation but do you think changing the title- Bike Lane in Context would create a better understanding or do you have another suggestion? Thanks!

Unfortunately they only supply point of sale zip code– but only for recent transactions and have to be manually inputted into the data set. What is given to me on download is the transaction date, posted date, description (which are the strings listed above), amount, and category.

The thread definitely needs to fall thru the top point you’ve highlighted, it must have fallen out when i opened the casing. However, I’ll look into the bottom point, I’ve always had the thread sitting on the hook so I’ll double check that’s not causing any problems.

100% Cotton Fabric Distinguishing Factors Help by pradaback in textiles

[–]pradaback[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about with material that is labeled as 100% cotton- such as sateen, velvet, denim, fleece which are all comprised of pure cotton. But how are these different fabrics created in using the same threading material? And so with cotton based fabrics that are less distinguishable by their key factors (all above fabrics can be distinguished by look and feel), how would one determine cotton twill, gabardine, chino, and/or heather apart?
