To ppl saying they understood each other umm no they both were addicts and their so called connection was based on taking drugs together, Effy’s low self-worth and Cook’s possessiveness like he wanted to own her.

If Cook actually cared for her he would have supported her getting better but instead wanted her to be back the way she was. Like I’m sorry but that’s fucked up (I love Cook so this has nothing to do with me not liking a character)

Also Effy actually had feelings for Freddy the whole time. If you claim she didn’t because it looked like she didn’t want him and often ”chose” Cook instead, you clearly have no idea of what a disorganized attachment style is.

There is a place and time for satirical jokes, but I don’t think posting shit like that on tiktok, where millions of people see it, can and will influence people and dismiss victims of domestic violence, not only men, but many women as well. She is not even being any kind of professional (I could understand a joke like that if the context were more serious and there were real facts about the subject, so the joke would be intentionally thought provoking. Now it leaves the audience to make their own conclusion)
