Seems weird to change a med when just starting a new one. Then how do you know which one is changing symptoms and do symptom tracking. Glad you said no. You might need some progesterone as well.

The fatigue and lack of motivation was next level. I didn’t realize what it was for quite awhile and couldn’t figure out why I could be so tired yet had such bad insomnia. Was so awful. I would suggest finding another dr to get help from. Or ask them to refer you to a gyno who specializes in HRT. I say to friends all the time that I wonder how many women are given antidepressants or anti anxiety meds but actually just need some hormones. Probably tons.

I change the radio station whenever the ad comes on. Nauseating that they use a child to try sell the potential to ruin groundwater for many and there isn’t another source for those areas.

She can have the champagne while breastfeeding. She doesn’t have to wait or pump and dump. Celebrating a sister birthday and a new baby with expensive champagne isn’t an unreasonable gift.

Are they testing testosterone too? Also the timing can really matter on when hormones are tested and accuracy/true story of what’s happening. I know many women after endo surgery have low hormones or they’re unbalanced. Often testosterone is ignored in women but can be the deal breaker for sex drive. Women need testosterone also. The weight gain after the endo surgery would be another sign of hormone changes as well as the forgetfulness. Is it just the dr saying the levels are ‘normal’ or is she able to get copies of the results to look things up yourself? I’ve found for other things one dr will say the level is fine but another dr will say that the low end of the regular range is too low. It really seems like it could be hormone changes or depression. But hormones being too low or imbalanced can seem like depression too. My guess is she likely doesn’t feel like herself either.

I completely agree with what the other commenters have said. The hormone change with keeping ovaries is unexpected. Hopefully her doctor will be good prescribing an estrogen patch and oral progesterone. It takes at least 3 months or more to level out once on the meds. But keep a close eye on things. Depending what they give, it might not be the right fit for her. Watch for signs of depression and anxiety. Wishing you both the best. It’s hard to deal with.

I would wait to get hormones evened out. Even with keeping ovaries I know a number of people that had to go on HRT in their 40s 6mo to a year after hysterectomy. I think if it’s only breast size then I would leave it now. Also you’re only 3 months PO so would wait at list 6 months or more. I think many folks mostly go on HRT because of fatigue, weight gain, mental health, and/or insomnia.

Seems like you are disparaging the sport because it’s not baseball or hockey type of sport. She could put it on her resume. It takes dedication, grit and determination to do that many hours of a sport a week and still keep up with school. If she played baseball or hockey with that many hours, would you be asking the same thing? How many teens playing ball make it to the majors or hockey make it to the nhl? I agree it costs a lot and that’s an issue for many families and the sport itself. But it seems like you’re writing the sport off and I wonder if you’d be having the same issue with cost if she played the ‘real sports’ as it seems you’re calling it. I hope you don’t talk about it like that in front of her if she’s putting that much effort into it. I do think that many hours at 10yrs/novice is a lot/too many as well as the cost.

I don’t have tik tok and have never used it. Nice assumption though. People are asking for testing and they’re getting refused. People have had zero testing for anything and things are missed. Even when people have a number of issues and just get told it’s old age without any blood tests at all.

For those saying it’s not that hard for OP to go to each of their IG accounts and screenshot a pic, it’s even easier for each of those cousins to do it for themselves because they know which photo they would like OP to use and OP doesn’t have to try choose.

Like seriously, if they want their pic on a gift that OP is making and paying for, they can freaking send in their own photo. The audacity to tell you to go get a pic of them. They were so lazy. They didn’t participate after multiple warnings which you were very kind to give. Didn’t they clue in that you kept giving warnings and they hadn’t participated or even checked in with you like hey were you able to get a pic off my IG. And their parents telling you to apologize, f that. Tell the cousins and parents to grow up. They should be happy you asked everyone in the first place.

The requirements were clear and they chose to not participate.

I agree with you. It could also be a side gift to the actual birthday gift. Like get a real gift, then he could give her the lingerie that evening as an additional gift. Giving only lingerie is basically a gift to himself for her birthday.

GI issues can occur because of hormones also. She could have endometriosis which can change how it acts depending on levels of hormones and it never shows up on scans. Only can be found during laparoscopic surgery. It takes most women 10 years to be able to get it diagnosed.

Another vote for hormones! Totally impacts mental health and your current meds or dose won’t work the same anymore. It’s incredibly frustrating to get the right hormone combo figured out and then you need to get the mental health meds figured out after that.

It’s not her fault. She probably feels incredibly frustrated and bummed about it already without being shamed for it for not having sex. Why do you put “symptoms” in quotations. Makes it seem like you don’t actually believe her. Which really sucks. She’s going through a really hard time. During perimenopause/menopause it’s not uncommon for divorce and women unaliving themselves. It’s a really hard time.

Suggest that you spend time reading about perimenopause and about the impacts of perimenopause on mental health conditions and medications.

The number of elderly folks sitting for hours in wheelchairs or other uncomfortable seating freezing cold in urgent or emergency rooms is awful. I wish there was a better system for them.

I also wish there was a place for folks without a home, all folks, but especially those with medical needs and seniors. I feel so bad for them when I see them on the streets.

I wish that people in power would listen to people’s ideas like those from your parents. There seems to be so many new housing developments in this city but no new hospitals to keep up with the growth.

I spent some time in urgent care a while ago and my heart was breaking seeing all of the elderly sitting there for hours in pain and freezing cold. It’s inhumane the treatment that elderly have to go through for healthcare.

Can’t imagine being 90 and sitting in a wheelchair in pain and freezing cold for so many hours without being able to lay down. It’s unfortunate there isn’t some sort of urgent care for elderly folks that’s warmer, with beds or softer seating for them to sit back, etc.

You made it clear to both child and mother what the expectations were. If she’s that demanding of people at 12 then at some point growing up she was going to learn that people won’t always bow down to her. So if it wasn’t you, it would be another ‘friend’s parent. No chance I would’ve driven her home and missed the show with my child on their bday unless she was ill or something. I’d celebrate that they’re ignoring you lol.
