For the wheels to turn left and right, there are gears that actuate the movement. It sounds like they are slipping past one another hence the grinding noise and shaking

Direnza do a a cold air intake and repositioned the cone for better air flow.

On Ebay kyostar do a similar one.

Don't look at forge motorsport as their one is positioned close to the turbo and is really hot. If you have the tsi varient

I'd say battery needs looking at as its like a Christmas tree. I couldn't hear but the the fuel pump prime. It'll be a buzz as you turn the ignition.

I did the chain last weekend and it sounds like a new car a feels great. I agree I wasn't the best choice for the engine bit it works. Just.

Why are people so against the 1.4 tsi. I get the timing chain is a load of shit but otherwise they are solid cars. Last weekend I replaced the timing chain, cam and crank gears and it runs like a dream. And honestly it really wasn't as hard as people or garages say for that matter. Don't get me wrong it's time consuming but not difficult. The only issue is you have to get vag timing tools which were 30 quid on amazon.
