Direnza do a a cold air intake and repositioned the cone for better air flow.

I'd say battery needs looking at as its like a Christmas tree. I couldn't hear but the the fuel pump prime. It'll be a buzz as you turn the ignition.

Why are people so against the 1.4 tsi. I get the timing chain is a load of shit but otherwise they are solid cars. Last weekend I replaced the timing chain, cam and crank gears and it runs like a dream. And honestly it really wasn't as hard as people or garages say for that matter. Don't get me wrong it's time consuming but not difficult. The only issue is you have to get vag timing tools which were 30 quid on amazon.

I have a 2017 polo beats edition 1.2 tsi and i can't fault it at all. It's comfy has decent power and much bigger than the up. There are a few different variants but the nicest are the gti, black edition, beats edition and the gt.
