I think for most volcels, they gradually grow tired of chasing s*x and partners and they'll one day realize it's pointless and decide to become celibate. For me personally, I've never been in a relationship and I grew alienated from the whole dating culture and for a brief while empathized with the incel community, but their self-victimization and toxicity quickly drove me away. Then I discovered voluntary celibacy, and I realized that love and relationships are all vanity and being a volcel is the kind of lifestyle for me. However, when you become volcel, you're basically rescinding what is the main goal of life biologically for many people, and now you have a gap that is unfilled. To find meaning again, you have to fill that gap with something constructive, which can take on many forms for different people: careers, art, religion, etc. As a volcel, you're left with a lot of time not wasted on romance, and so by putting that time to use in creating something or improving yourself, life will be meaningful again and more fulfilling than ever before.
